My workstation at the office. wee~ dual display.
But the fact that the processor is only Celeron D won't change but whatever as long as it can play Photoshop, fireworks or other desktop publishing/ graphic designing software. Wish I had figures on the desktop though...

MY STORY OF ID-BASED ONLINE COMPUTER
I don't have computer. And I can't afford to buy
a new computer now. But I had computer model “Celeron”
in 2004-2005.
I surf daily for 4-5 hours.
So I used to think about buying cheap computer but
I don't want to compromise with quality also.
The very first model of online computer was along
with keyboard. Even the keyboard was also the part
of online computer.
Since due to lack of typing speed
as using keyboard on desktop was time consuming I
found this idea not so useful.
It’s only appropriate use
was in "Slate ( Screen Touch Handwriting Recognition )"
I also came with idea of "Software based computer.
But we again need to download & install on more
sofisticated original personal computer.
Website based computer lacks choice and it will not
be like personal computer. There will be data storage problem too.
So I found the idea of "I.D.Based Online Computer" perfect.

I went to PC Fair today and guess who I met there?
It was my GilaChess Patzer team mate Balendran. As some of you know, Balendran is an experienced local chess coach. Anyway it turns out that we were there for the same reason - to look at notebooks.
Only difference is that Balendran can actually afford one and I can't. So sad :(
Anyway prices of budget notebooks have definitely fallen. Many branded Celeron M notebooks can be bought for RM2000. What cought my eye was the higher end Dell notebook with Core Duo processor selling for only RM 2899. Mouth watering!!
We also viewed some MacBooks which were georgous but cost RM 5200.Not only do they look cool, these notebook can run both Windows and Mac software. But for chess players like us, there really isn't any good chess programs.

After many years, I decided to replace our 500mhz Celeron-based machine. Once we did the data transfer to the new one, the power supply fan failed.
I am going to swap out the ram in this machine, and thought I would check the uptime on it before I did. This is just a little basic computer my wife and I have downstairs for times we just want to hop on the web and check a map, the weather, email, etc. When I spent more time messing with computers I would rarely leave an OS installed for this long, but this is pretty good uptime for an in use Windows XP machine.
This is where the daily miracle happens. My work computer.
The specs: Dell, 2.66 Ghz , Intel Celeron, 1 GB RAM, juicy MS Windows XP goodness. I think the monitor is a 15 incher, but I could be off an inch or so.
(It's a faster processor than I thought. But I think it needs another gig of RAM for it to fly.)
