Various pics of my Oscilloscope computer case.
Started lfe as a 1960's vintage Bell and Howell Schools oscilloscope. Gutted it, added a $10 "plasma disk" in place of the old CRT tube display, did some Dremel'ing, sanding, hacksawing and drilling...and now it's a computer case.
The 'scope itself was about $10 on eBay, the motherboard/CPU is nothing special, a Celeron D 315 2.13ghz and all the other parts are spares, extras, and scavenged stuff from my scrap pile.
The front panel buttons and knobs operate the DVD-RW drive open/close, turning the display on/off, and the reset and power switches.

Overall pic of internals. System is currently running a Celeron D CPU with 1GB of ram, plenty for a storage server, but if it ever gets too loaded I can just as easily put a dual-core P4 in it's place. primary OS drive is a 160GB SATAII drive I had extra partitioned into a 60GB OS part and 100GB Data part.

Zoals gezegd is de camera weer in orde, net als de fiets... alleen de computer nog, ach, voor een keertje doen we maar alsof we het "een leuke ervaring" vinden, hoe deze Celeron-laptop met onboard gr. en een verwaarloosbaar kleine hoeveelheid RAM zeven eeuwigheden* nodig heeft om even een foto recht te zetten.

This is the heat sink of a PCI Graphics Card in a Celeron 1000. When I opened the case I was amazed at the amount of cobwebs and dust, especially as it was running ok. The cobwebs were very easy to clean off.
