We weren't able to do a full tour, just the first inner area but will revisit the area another time. What we saw was beautiful
Who the heck knows why? I am just amused with it...and after trashing about 500 photos this weekend...I thought I would throw one up. My mom bought me this groovy ceiling tile that had been repainted for wall art. I love it.
All of the rooms had highly decorative ceilings, whether painted like the Sistine Chapel or done in plaster.
Beautiful ceiling at a Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church, Virginia... Wish I could have taken more (and straighter) pictures, but I was there for a wedding, so I had to be discreet.
Dipping back into the Hindu temple shoot, this is some of the ceiling detail in the Visitors Center at BAPS Mandir, Chino Hills, California. It has amazing hand-carved decorations.
As crazy as it seems, there is really three dimensional stained glass window in the ceiling of the main auditorium.
