:Salvador Dali,Spain.Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee" was painted, using oil on canvas, in 1944, while Dali and Gala were living in America. The full title explains the subject and content of the painting, which was taken from a dream that Gala reported to Dali. He announced that this painting was the first illustration of Freud's discovery, that external stimuli could be the cause of a dream. The catalyst for the dream, which is the pomegranate, hangs in the air with the bee flying toward it. Behind the pomegranate Gala's dream unfolds over a sea of brilliant blue. A naked Gala lies asleep as she hovers over a stone; an illusion to the common floating feeling that can occur in dreams. To the left of Gala is a huge pomegranate that spills seeds on to the sea below. Out of the pmegranate an angry, pink fish is emerging with a wide open mouth. A snarling tiger leaps out of the fish. From this tiger another emerges, its tail in the mouth of the previous one. The tigers are rushing toward Gala, their claws at the ready, but, it is the bayonet, mirroring the sting of the bee, that will wake her. **NOTE** The bottom of this print is titled with this piece's alternative title: "Sting Caused by the Flight of a Bee."

'Cause I'm too messy and then I'm too f-cking clean

You told me get a job then you ask where the hell I've been

And I'm too perfect 'til I open my big mouth

I want to be me, is that not allowed?

And I'm too clever and then I'm too fucking dumb

You hate it when I cry unless it's that time of the month

And I'm too perfect 'til I show you that I'm not

A thousand people I could be for you and you hate the f-cking lot

You guys are f*****g ugly.

So any way my band had a photo shoot and my main man Maximillian had the tough duties of making us not so pretty looking lads well… pretty to say the least so we headed out to the location (South Brisbane, near Boggo Rd. Jail and Ribbetts Fine Foods if you don’t know about either of those ones scary and the others amazingly tasty you figure out which is which haha!), and Max setup with my light gear and stuff and shot away the results are pretty awesome, but been the busy man Max is, I got left with all the editing…

Max is an amazing photographer so you should go stalk Max over at his blog, because he is way better than you’ll ever be haha… so don’t be jealous.

He also has a rad band called Pistols Of Dawn, in which ill be returning the photography favour for soon you can check them out here

and keep your eyes peeled for sexy men strutting their stuff on my camera on my blog or on my Flickr

Just in case anyone wants to know what max used the champ used all my gear first time ever he’d picked up my stuff, and the results are awesome, everyone should know how weird it is using someone else’s gear especially for the first time.

Strobist Info (this ordering may or may not have changed throughout the shoot):

- 1 x Bowens Gemini Esprit 500WS – shot bare camera left behind

- 1 x Bowens Gemini Esprit 500WS – shot through softbox camera left

So, I thought I’d share my editing skills and how the hell I do it, its not hard, and I’m probably not the best but any ways here goes…

The programs I use are just Aperture, and Adobe Photoshop CS3, obviously Aperture for raw editing, and Photoshop for anything beyond what the raw editor can handle such as layered HDR type techniques and such others (please be aware I do not use HDR converter everything I do is by me and from scratch with my own techniques that I’ve learnt over the years, these are the screen shots, and the before and afters from my editing left is Max’s original photo and right is obviously my edits, enjoy…

More than 300 cowgirls competed in the 12th annual Cowgirls with a Cause Rodeo and raised $31,000 to help provide mammograms, cancer-detection tests, and cancer treatment services to those in the community who can’t afford these potentially life-saving procedures.

Cowgirls with A Cause has now raised and donated more than $256,000 in the fight against breast cancer.

The Heart related problems encompasses the disorders related to the movement of blood from the different parts of the body to the heart. High blood pressure, low blood pressure, pain in the abdomen and minor attacks all consists of heart related problems.

Difficulty in breathing- When an individual finds it difficult to breathe in a normal environment, it could be a sign of a heart disease.

Fatigue- When someone feels tired and low all the time or as soon as they wake up, it hints at a dangerous situation.

Frequent need to pass out the urine – While frequent urination could be result of lack of proper nutrition and proper water intake, it could also mean there is a heart disease.

Swelling – It is a huge red sign for a heart disease.

Weight gain – Excessive weight gain despite regular exercise could hint at a heart disease.

Excessive Coughing- The kind of coughing which gets irritable as soon as one lies down on the bed could be a warning signal of fluid trapped in lungs due to heart diseases.

Diabetes – It could lead to heart problems as the body stops producing the insulin.

High Cholesterol – High level of bad cholesterol can lead to heart failure as it leads to blockage of arteries and veins inside the body.

These guys were in attendance at the park for the weekly concert in the park.

What really struck me (and what I tried to capture here) was this man seem to burst with happiness despite the fact he was obviously handicapped Joy in life and a very fun spirit

He wheeled around the bandstand area (at pretty fast speeds) with his dog (of which never barked or moved & who was looking slightly cooler than his master) on his lap...going to and fro-front & right-side to left-side & around and around all in a small space for one appearing so encumbered.

That did not stop him, the people watching him with a questionable eye did not stop him and least of all the children running around him did not deter him but seem to spurn him on -he was celebrating not just his ability to dance but the fact he was alive to do it!!

He was immobile from the legs down, it was obviously true, but his spirit continues to dance....So I look st this shot when things get rough for me and tell myself if he can celebrate and dance, then so can I

color kinda washed-out cause it's a bright morning---going up beyond 37 degrees for the 4th day in a row---with all the bickering between BP and the "Obama administration", between the Isrealis and Hamas and other Palestinian "representatives", etc etc etc it's no wonder there's so much "hot air" in the atmosphere --- nothin' but hot air --- could they give it a rest?

“Cause and Effect” showcases a collection of video based performances and kinetic sculpture from the mid 1960’s to the present. Though the discourse surrounding each of the selected works diverge from one another and their classification as kinetic art, they nonetheless are linked through their mechanical, temporal, and movement based components. Len Lye’s “Trilogy: A Flip and Two Twisters” serves as a point of departure for the rest of the exhibition as performance and theatrics commingle with art and engineering. Rauschenberg’s “Open Score” and emerging artist Jacob Tonski’s “Balance Study, Threshold” are performative works dependant on the action of participants, while Peter Fischli and David Weiss rely on the chain reactions of common place objects and combustibles in “The Way Things Go.”

The earthquake of 2010 September 4 caused only minor damage to the Provincial Buildings. However, that of 2011 February 22 caused major damage to the stone buildings. The "Stone Chamber" (the more recent of the two provincial council chambers) was described as the most impressive of architect B.W. (Benjamin Woolfield) Mountfort's designs, and also as the finest Gothic Revival interior outside of England. Its roof collapsed during the 2011 earthquake.

This image shows the southeast facade of the buildings under repair (which has focused on stabilizing and weatherproofing).

No date for completion of restoration had been announced at mid-year 2023.
