Not so easy with one arm

I love the beauty of the ocean with all the birds it has to offer in such a lovely setting. As I walked the beach at Moss Landing this Long-billed Curlew seemed to be 'catching a wave' as it flew by.

What stars are you interested in catching? Do you long to gaze at the famous kind or those that you see shine in the night sky? It's easy to get distracted by the human variety but we should take time to view the dark skies in remote places to remind ourselves of how vast the universe is. Be your own star, shine brightly to light the way for others to find their way out of the darkness.

Yesterday was another very hot day, but as I walked through the gardens, the day lilies all seemed to have their 'faces' looking at the sun.

First time I managed to see the start (or the end) of a rainbow. No pot of gold though! Wish I had my camera with me but had to do with the mobile again. I guess the best camera is the one with you.

I guess I'm lucky being locked down with a garden.

It keeps me occupied for most of the day and it has it's moments.

The first tulips of the year appeared a few days ago, they open up during the day and close again at night. This one was catching the midday sun.

Taken outside in the sunshine.

I don't have a macro lens so I used an extender for this shot.

Catching reflections is one of my favorite things i like to photograph. it is usually challenging to catch reflections against the bright city light. An effort was made to balance all of them here. well it almost Friday. have a great day my friends.

Not many lovely autumn leaves in the garden this year, most of them are already dry when they fall. Linus found one which still had some colour, though. I have posted far too many photos of Linus' face lately and thought that I should focus on the paw for a change. :)

From a local hike in the hills of the Willamette Valley.

Acrylic on linen canvas view from our living room.

This is easy to do. It's just a photo of my hand. The clouds, birds and light rays are Photoshop "brushes". It did take many attempts to get the combination of cloud brushes look good. The lightning was added by using a Photoshop filter. ("Alien Skin Xenofex 2" filter. )

Cider and Charlie enjoying what was hopefully the last snowfall of the season.

Catching the next train to Jamaica.

A week after we came back from Berlin, back when the trees were still green, the world felt like autumn anyway, and I had already settled in again. :)
