I learned in the New York Welcome Center that Binghamton is the Carousel Capital of the Nation, but that you're not allowed to sit on the horse.

The carousel looked much prettier when the lights came on.

A carousel but nothing to get excited about if you are really into carousels of merry-go-rounds. I remember riding the carousel on the Boardwalk over by Steeplechase - and yup - they had a gold ring!

the only ride we went on was the carousel. it was gorgeous. i think scoutie and i might have been the only two adults on it who weren't accompanied by kids.

In the centre is a pipe organ which plays traditional tunes - quite loudly. It sounds like there's a whole band hiding in there!

The all-reindeer carousel at Santa's Village. The reindeer seemed to be metal. I am very curious who made this carousel, but could not find any maker's mark on it. Holiday World really misses something by not having a Christmas carousel.
