My 14 year old daughter borrowed my iPhone for a few minutes and unbeknownst to me, she took a panoramic shot of me capturing the sunset (see previous post). I only noticed it a few days later when browing though my photostream. Thought it was worth posting it here.
This is Montana painter Tricia Bass. She was kind enough to let me photograph her working in the field capturing the gorgeous fall colours of Yellowstone's Lamar Valley in oils. I was on my best behaviour - she was armed with bear spray!
As most photographers do, we review our shots from time to time to see if we have missed that eye catching capture. In reviewing old shots, I came across this interior shot of a Nostalgic Buick V-Eight. I especially like the shot because of the reflection of my hand and camera lens in the upper right hand corner. A Unique shot....Tells a Story, don't you think?
The decorated officer with the muddy boots, the officer with the bandaged cheek, the decorated enlisted men, and the NCO with the pistol stuck in his belt suggest that these men are the captors of the Belgians and not a rear area unit.

I made this fairy for a friend that was having a hawaiian themed party. I even used part of the invitation that was sent to me.

Like a jaguar that stalks
down his narrow cage
that can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his nails are clipped and
his feet are tied
as he opens his throat to yell for freedom.
With a fearful thrill
of things unknown
he will not sit still
until he's shone
the light of day
on the distant fortress hill
as he leaps naked from his cage to freedom.

“To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”

A couple captured the 99.9% crescent moon over Trekroner Fort in Copenhagen yesterday... and I captured them.

descending into munich's urban artery, the air vibrates with the hum of the city's pulse. each step on the escalator, a gentle descent into the subterranean heartbeat of this historic yet ever-modern metropolis. he carries with him the quiet air of contemplation, a silent witness to the dance of shadows and light that plays across the steel canvas of his surroundings. this is the photographer's retreat, where the clatter of the surface is hushed to a whisper, and the reflections capture more than just shapes, but the essence of movement, the soul of the commuter's journey. it is here, in this liminal space, that he finds a fleeting connection to the city's rhythm, mirrored in the lines that crisscross his path, a visual echo of munich's own intricate melodies.
