Always working to improve my dark ride photography with the equipment I have available. I currently have a camera that records reasonable images at ISO 6400 and one lens that I can open as far as f/1.4. Using that lens (a Sigma fixed focal length 30mm) I don't have the ability to zoom in or out, which in some ways seems to help me think about composition. On a dark ride with no ability to zoom, that requires some creativity, as you have to anticipate the movement of the ride, including when it will move smoothly and when it may jerk you around. In the case of Splash Mountain, occasional logjams stop your movement (other than bobbing up and down in the water) for enough time to sometimes frame the shot thoughtfully and to bring a little more into focus than when you are moving.

What I mean is that THOSE eyes captured ME at an outdoor charitable event in Daphne Alabama. Adorable, eh?

Captured this before the clouds rolled in tonight. My first Saturn shot with my ZWO ASI120MC Camera. I'd forgotten to select the color option on some new capture software, but I'll remember next time.

I originally posted this a couple of years ago or so, but decided to rework it and repost it. I like this version much better than the original.

Ulrike thought a Hot Pink pretty would make her winter blues go away, so she sent me an agate slice and I made her a bracelet. Bead embroidery on Ultrasuede with glass pearls, glass seed and E beads, Bali silver spacer beads, hex cut crystal seed beads with peyote stitch capture with fringe detail on bezel, silver box clasp.

They'd setup a lure to attract more Pokemon to their location and were capturing a lot. The only clue to them being back there was a mark on the game map where the lure was set
