Playing with items found in my kitchen is a wonderful way to dive into macro photography. I found myself thinking about the lyrics of the song, America the Beautiful. This is my version of purple mountain majesties, with a splash of pink and yellow. "The force that propels the human spirit on the clear way forward and upward is the abstract spirit."

I felt if he could speak to us or sing to us he would be singing " Oh what a beautiful morning " The beautiful male green crowned brilliant was on a nearby branch and I could not help but capture a few!! Such awesome beauty and Costa Rica has beauty at every turn . We will be heading back with Nature's Tapestry Photo Adventure Tours next November 2018 and April 2019 . Conestoga Lake is half hour driving from home. The relative larger lake nearby. I went there quite often to shoot the sunset, it is a quiet and peaceful place, people kayaking, paddling, fishing, boating… Light was not perfect every day, it was different every time. This photo captured the people kayaking and fishing under the orange sun rays…
Ice dunes on the Lake Michigan shoreline became pretty cliche this winter, and photographs of photographers are always cliche. But with the warm weather that we’ve been having lately, the dunes, at least, will soon become a thing of the past…for a while anyway. :-)

Captured at the Eastern States Exposition, also known as
"The Big E", which is America's Premier Exposition and world's only multi-state fair, representing all six New England States.
The first Eastern States Exposition occurred over 100 years ago in October 1916, and is now held every autumn in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Each year, the fair opens on the second Friday after Labor Day and runs for seventeen days . . Stop in, you won't be disappointed! : )

Capture taken during recent visit to the Dolomites. The weather has not been in favor much for hiking tours with good visibility, but instead, clouds , fog and rain created a few nice moments here and there...Good weekend ahead! Thanks, Udo.
As one rounds the sharp corner of a bend, this stretch of land progressively appears. At this time in the evening, reflections are prominent and even. The sky is almost the same blue as the water, and a single bright spot of light remains on a distant hill.
Soon this will be gone, so off to a safe pullout goes the car, Out I fly with tripod and camera in hand. The setup is fast with all settings predetermined. One shot happens, histograms are checked, adjustments are made, and one more chance to capture the moment. Then, the light on the far hill is gone, and it all fades into darkness.
