Waiting out the high tide amongst the beach-washed seaweed.
The black-capped babbler is a species of bird in the Pellorneidae family. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
Scientific name: Pellorneum capistratum
This is a “cute” bird because of its oversized round head atop a tiny body, and its curiosity about everything, humans included. It has a black cap and bib, its cheeks are white, and its back, wings, and tail are gray, its undersides being whitish with buffy sides, giving it a distinctive look. Little flocks of these birds are active in the winter woods, flying from tree to tree, often in the company of other birds such as nuthatches, creepers, and kinglets, sounding out their cheery chick-a-dee call.
Looking westward one can see the mountains in the background which are on Vancouver Island and close to the City of Victoria, the Capitol City of BC. The waters of this inlet, called Burrard Inlet, leads out into the open Pacific Ocean and the many small islands. A lot of shipping goes through these waters, as far away as China and the East. In the foreground are cargo ships, they appear to be grain carriers. On the far left are the UBC Endowment Lands in Vancouver.

I do like Crown Royal and their presentation is always good to. From the bottle cap to the bottle, to the velvet bag it comes in. Just a shame that this bottle is empty! HMM!
