Cap Pavilion, Cap Estate, Gros Islet, St Lucia
Cap Pavilion built in 1988 is situated on top of a knoll on the Northern tip of St Lucia in the prestigious Cap Estate. This home is constructed in an open architectural style with graceful coral stone pavilions inspired by the old plantation style designs of Oliver Messel in Mustique and Barbados. Framed by stoned archways leading off a central palm courtyard, and decorated in a signature Messel green, its white and airy rooms open on to a broad shady veranda with handsome fretwork balconies enjoying panoramic views over the cool and breezy Atlantic and the calmer Caribbean coastlines. Great efforts were made to leave the original vegetation of this 4 acres fenced property untouched.
The house is very much a part of the landscape with many open areas, which lead directly into the garden. The house has 3 main wings built around a central courtyard:
Main Wing: There are 2 levels in this wing. On the ground level is the master suite, master bath and sunken shower with a view of the Atlantic ocean. The upper level comprises of 3 bedrooms. One bedroom with a full bath, bonus room and two bedrooms which share a very large bathroom. The wrap around balcony leads to 2 very spacious sun decks. The main wing is completed with alfresco dining on the ground level which opens to a central garden, kitchen, powder room, sitting area and staff’s quarter.
The Indoor & Outdoor Wing features a spacious living room with various sitting areas. The large sitting room has louvered French doors which open out onto an airy covered verandah with views of the Caribbean Sea and also lead to the courtyard and the tropical gardens. The formal, open dining room can seat 12 people.
The Guest Wing offers total privacy with a terrace overlooking the tropical garden to provide a tranquil and secluded atmosphere.
The Swimming pool with a gazebo situated in the lower part of the garden is accessible by stone steps from the central garden. It is surrounded with rocks, trees and palms, offering privacy and shade from the sun.
Cap Pavilion combines a secluded location with 360 degree views of Cap Estate, the Atlantic Ocean, Martinique, the Caribbean Sea, and Rodney Bay, all being within close commute of Rodney Bay with numerous amenities, sandy beaches, an 18 hole golf course and a World class marina.

El Cap dominates the left hand side of the valley from the Tunnel View. Every view of El Cap is amazing in my opinion.

#AbFav_HEADGEAR_👒
A cap is a flat headgear, usually with a visor.
Caps have crowns that fit very close to the head.
They made their first appearance as early as 3200 BC.
The origin of the word "cap" comes from the Old French word "chapeau" which means "head covering".
I wish you a day full of beauty and thank you for your visit, Magda, (*_*)
