Tomorrow it's going to hit 100 F or so...we only had a brief respite from the unrelenting heat this summer. The little birds really appreciate the water I put out on the deck for them. And in the morning, the mud in the water shows that the little raccoons have been washing their hands in it at night.
Just off the path along Fraser River I spotted a couple young Black-capped Chickadees waiting for breakfast.

Who dares say that those think-tanks o' yours - how do ye call them, "tachikomas", - can be only robotic?
They can be piratic as well, shiver me timbers! Better don't mess with them, these lads have explosive powder kegs!
It is a promontory that extends to 5 km in the Tyrrhenian Sea. There is the Castle and a characteristic church sunken in the rock, dedicated to St. Anthony of Padova. Interesting paths in the middle of the typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Blue plastic safety cap: Push Down & Turn To Open / Close Tightly. Plastic bottle caps are everywhere--beverages, condiments, spices, toiletries, medicines--and yet they are not recyclable, at least not where I live. It pains me to have to throw plastic bottle caps in the trash.

The chestnut-capped laughingthrush (Garrulax mitratus) is a species of bird in the Leiothrichidae family. It is found in Indonesia, and Malaysia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The chestnut-hooded laughingthrush was previously considered a subspecies.
This Gray-capped Flycatcher stopped to check us out while we were in search of the Speckled Tanager. I think he looked annoyed that we weren’t there for him!
