Possibly ??? :

Russula nobilis is widespread in North America and grows primarily with beech trees. It is commonly known as the Beech Sickener, as it is toxic.

The sickener is known for its cherry-red cap that grows up to 3.3 inches at maturity. The cap shape starts out convex in young specimens and then flattens out in mature ones. The red mushroom’s gills are white, becoming yellowish as the mushroom matures, and are attached to a sturdy, white, cylindrical stem.

Whist trying to catch up with myself rather than not post anything thought I would continue with a few more images from Lyme

Taken from the town of Lyme Regis a view over to the Jurassic coastline looking towards the golden cap which is the highest point on the South coast.

Thanks for viewing and any comments.

Of all the times I've been out to Gros Cap to shoot, for some reason I've never stopped at the marina. I'm glad I decided to today, because it was a calm evening with neat rain clouds, which made for some great shots. As a bonus, the rain even held off until I was packing up all my gear.

Kerr WMA. Texas Hill Country.

Along with the Go1den-cheeked warb1er this was my other primary target for the trip. I heard them at Lost Maples up on top but it was so very windy that first day that I never even got a look at one. It was a bit of a climb too so I opted to go to Kerr the next morning, where access was a much simpler and shorter walk into prime scrub habitat. I heard them almost immediately, and just had to use a little patience to get one in the open. I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity than this fella gave me.

Spent a couple of days at one of my favourite shorebird spots in Victoria - the beautiful beaches of Killarney. As always, there were plenty of Red-capped Plovers hiding amongst the seaweed.

A Red-capped Plover plucks a sandworm from the wet sand along the shoreline. These birds use their sensitive feet & sharp eyesight to detect & catch sandworms as they move through the sand. I watched this female slowly tapping the sand with one foot before she plunged her bill into the sand & came up with this sandworm.

Have you heard the call of a Dusky-capped Flycatcher? Being from South America, he curls his rrrrr. Very adorable calls, I love hearing it.
