Canon EF 400mm f5.6L USM-This little fellow is seen regularly in our backyard. But he has proved very difficult to shoot because he moves constantly, is very small, and hides in among the branches. His black cap makes it hard to get catch light in his dark eyes even with an excellent lens.

Thank you for taking the time to view my images. If you leave a comment, all the better, as I enjoy reading them.

Another Red-capped Plover on the sand flats. Amazing tiny little birds that have to put up with the ravages of living, feeding and nesting on the sand flats of the beach.

Had a few cakes on top of my cookie mania. This was going to be an attempt at a Santa cap as seen by my friend on another website. I put three or four good attempts in with the fondant, trying to get it to drape correctly, but knowing I had another cake and cupcakes to do that night, I just went with a regular winter cap. From this angle it looks more like an ornament, though.

Two veteran RS3's of the St. Johnsbury and Lamoille County RR are keeping each other company next to the D&H turntable at Rouses Point N.Y. Both have their stacks capped which can have different meanings concerning their future. #204 is ex Lehigh and Hudson River Railway #4 built in 09-1950 and #4073 is ex D&H #4074 built in 08-1952. I think #204 ended up on the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad as a parts source and I have no idea of the fate of #4073. Howard Kent Jr. 07-11-1977.

Crazy Tuesday theme for this week is "BOTTLE CAP(s)".
