Here is a basic pattern for the cycling cap I made. I have a big head so pull in the seams untill it fits you, then hem the length and stich the bill on. Cut on the thick lines, sitch the thin. If you download full size and print at 72ppi it should come out near the correct scale.
The rain got heavier the closer we got to Nice, but JJ and I were determined to get the best photos from the boat that we could! Here, you can see the Cap-Ferrat lighthouse, with Nice in the background.
The lighthouse has been listed as a Monument Historique (national heritage site) since 2012. Built in 1732, the lighthouse was designed to replace an ancient 16th century fire tower. Destroyed in 1944, it was rebuilt in its current form after the war.
It provides a unique view that extends from l'Estérel as far as the Italian coast. The lighthouse is currently closed to the public. (From www.explorenicecotedazur.com/en/info/phare-du-cap-ferrat-en/)

The red-capped cardinal (Paroaria gularis) is a small South American bird. It belongs to Paroaria, a genus of red-headed cardinal-tanagers. This one lives in the aviary at the OKC Zoo. Taken through a wire mesh.

Curler caps , bonnets etc in the 60s and 70s were intended to both look nice as well as secure and protect a hairdo or a rollerset. Some of the descriptions even mention thinks like fashionable or pretty and they were. A pretty woman wearing nicely set curlers and a curler cap can be absolutely beautiful!
