My overall aim is to provide strategic legal, financial, and capacity building support to immigrant and refugee women business owners in NYC to help them build sustaining lives.
Currently, immigrant and refugee women make up 50% of business owners in NYC; but they are the least likely to have access to financial resources to start and grow their businesses. One innovation, no-fee peer to peer loans, pioneered by MAF, has offered over $1M loans to immigrants through a gift economy model. I plan to do the same with my organization Nanshe, promoting economic and community development for refugees and immigrants while providing them with financial and entrepreneurship training to help them succeed.

I am infused with burdens. The weight of things always hurts more than they intend to. I can accept what I take onto me, for I welcome it, and learn to take hold.
A rare capture for me..Not the best shot but proof for me that my Chippie's do come up on the deck for their fair share of treats..I have discovered that they really enjoy raisins..most likely because they are very easy to pack into their cheeks..This shot was cute as I captured little Chippie cramming in the last raisin on the deck..into his already full mouth..
