Pourbous was the founder of a line of Flemish painters, specifically his son and grandson, both named Frans, but in his own right and time he was an immensely appreciated and sought-after artist. He was born in Gouda (Ter Goude), but settled as a youth in the great fifteenth - and early sixteenth-century centre of art and commerce Bruges. He was registered in the Bruges guild as a foreign master in 1543, but soon became the leading artist of that city. Becoming a citizen, he was active in diverse civic capacities and elected offices. While conversant with late Renaissance figure paintings, he retained aspects of the bright colours and clear contours of the older early Netherlandish tradition associated with the school of Bruges. His choices of subject also ran along traditional lines. Pourbus thus constitutes an important transitional figure in Flemish painting. Although he executed many religious and allegorical paintings, he is most renowned in our times for his exceptionally fine portraiture and the emergence of a genre in which he was a pionner in the North: group portraits. These panels are typical of the fine portraits of leading Bruges citizens that occupied much of his later work, notable for their outstanding quality, linearism and enamel-like surface. Pendant wedding portraits, they are painted in the same scale, both figures at three-quarter length and gently turned towards each other. The husband and wife ae depicted against a common background and shown attired in stylish clothing of the period. Both paintings bear inscriptions at the top furnishing the date, 1574, the ages of the two subjects, and the monogram the artist.

A centerpiece of the Integrating Agriculture in National Adaptation Plans Programme (NAP-Ag) in Thailand is its support to develop a new five-year Strategy on Climate Change in Agriculture (2017-2021). This is spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) and its Office of Agriculture Economics (OAE). The strategy was unveiled after a series of meetings by a Technical Working Group at a three-day workshop held on 23-25 November 2016 in Bangkok, organized by UNDP.
Over 60 participants from each MOAC line department and 10 participants from academia and civil society were briefed by the Office of the Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) and GIZ on the status of the National Adaption Plan (NAP) and learned how NAP-Ag programme efforts could support a broader NAP process and align with the Sector Plan. The new strategy focuses on improving evidence and data for informing policy choices, building the capacity of farmers and agri-businesses to adapt, promoting low-carbon development and productivity growth in the sector, and building institutional and managerial capacities to cope with climate change impacts.

In September of 2012, one of the InSTEDD iLab Southeast Asia's Senior Software Developers, Channa Ly, taught a PHP study group. The small session was attended by a diverse group of learners from NCHADS (National Center for HIV/AIDS, Dermatology and STD), ITC (Institute Technology of Cambodia), and others universities.

The Kennedy is the flagship of the Kennedy Class ferries and the last of the three in service, being a car boat with three decks for passengers and capacity for vehicles and freight on the lower level. The Kennedy class ferry is 297' long with a width of 69' and capacity of 3,055 passengers.
