Part of my cancer series.
When I did this I thought it didn't come out the way I wanted it too, I wanted the lightman to stick out more but as I look at it I find it interesting how he gets lost behind the pill bottles, lost behind the treatment. It's hard to see the person behind the treatment, seems appropriate.

The woman on the left is a former patient of our medical oncologist, seated on the right. She was diagnosed with cancer many years ago, and would likely not have survived if the doctor had not gone the extra mile for her diagnosis and treatment. Since then, she comes back every year on the doctor's birthday and brings cake for the entire clinical staff.
It was truly wonderful to see them talking. It is moments like this that make it worth the stress of being in the medical field.
Cancer series, thinking of making a book out of this series, to sell and raise money for cancer charity, like the Creative Center that gives free art classes to people with cancer, keeping the spirit strong through art.
I posted a thread on Light Junkies called Light Painting Charity about creating a light painting group that would donate photos for a book to raise money for charity, a global LP collaboration. Looking for LP'ers and any advice in making a book, and maybe a website to sell the book and prints.

My good friend Catherine is now cancer free and that makes me very happy. I've known her for several years and was represented by her gallery in Atlanta for a number of years, as well. I got the good news on a visit to the gallery last week. Could not be happier. She's a great lady.
