I wish there was less war and darkness, and my daughter could see the glory of a united world.

The petals are like warm outstretched arms. I could really use a warm friendly hug right now.

I love how the tag decorates this dumpr.

Meeka is starting to look like a bunny!!!

This has to be what the fish see when they look up through the deep blue ocean water.

Yep, me ---- and that is about as clear as you are going to get! LOL

I want to follow this glossy hosta green painted road to the Emerald City in OZ. I will leave the yellow brick road for the munchkin's travel!!!

I cherish these last warm sunny days of summer. Because the overcast skies of fall and winter bring cool gloom.

Can you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

May the cure for cancer be found soon! Completed a month of photos dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Will be hosting a bake sale in November to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

An abstract photo of my pink daylilies.

I get so angry when I hear about one of my fellow cancer survivor's loss of remission. I get mad at God. I don't understand how He choses who wins and who loses the fight. Then, the guilt sets in because I continue to "win". I hate this race!!!!

Okay - this is not good. But, at least I tried!

STAY STRONG - NEVER GIVE UP

A place for all cancer fighters, survivors, warriors

I love riding on the scaled trains you find at zoos and parks.

Deep calls to deep

in the roar of your waterfalls;

all your waves and breakers

have swept over me.

We look at each either and look for the color of the spirit. What is your spirit color?

I would prefer my pizza without the grass.

Do you remember your first crush? What about your first love? I remember the innocent warmth and delicate tremble I would feel inside when he spoke my name. I regret growing up. After this, all other loves were so complicated.

Mine is on the left and Cheryl's is on the right. We had an inspiring day...it was like we all knew each other before we got there, when in fact we never met before this.

Part of my cancer series.

I started getting sick when I was at least 16, I would be late for school because I would be nauseous in the morning, they would tell me I can't be sick every day. My doctor thought it was normal for teenagers to not be able to eat, throw up, get light headed, weak and losing weight. Luckily one day my doctor wasn't around when I got sick and I had to see someone else who didn't think that this was normal, especially the pain in my heart. Turns out I had a tumor by my heart. It didn't stick out so it didn't raise any alarms, and most people probably just didn't take me seriously because I was young. It took about 5 years to be diagnosed with cancer, I was in college by then. Cancer doesn't care how young you are. It pays to get second opinions.

Somebody save me. This is for people with cancer who are still looking for the cure.

Wasn't sure which one of these I liked more the darker one or the lighter.

Tucked into the corner of Alexander Calder's "Mountains and Clouds" sculpture in the middle of the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington D.C.

At the summit of mount Snowdon, Wales. Quite an emotional day for me. Never though I would see this view again after my diagnosis last year. But I swore i would do this mountain again. Beat the big C, and did the mountain. What an amazing day

This is my daughter, Jill. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer when she was 3 years old. I posted this picture to honor her. Jill was a fighter through her surgery and then continued the battle with chemo and radiation treatments. She is an inspiration to us and we are extremely thankful that we still have her with us! ...Never stop smiling! :)

A photo for wifey. Three shots developed in PS cc, by stacking, masking and painting out with black. This was put together so that Wifey could post it on her girls group. As a cancer survivor life is very precious.

Now I can finally say it: I'm CANCER FREE!!

Maybe I´ll never be cancer free, but right now I am completely recovered.

Last December I got proven colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver. The treatment began in January, first chemotherapy, then radiation, and finally two operations. After an operation in May and one in August, both tumors were removed. At the beginning of November, I had the final surgery that was also successful...

Maybe I don´t look so happy, but I really am... I´m back :)

Part of a series on my experience with cancer, collected over 10 years worth of bottles and needles since I was too sick at the time to document it, I thought one day I might want to make some art out of this.

I'm thinking of creating a Light Painting charity group, check out the discussion on Light Junkies.

Primary goals are essential in life. The road can make many curves and turns. But if you keep an eye on those primary life goals, your exisstence will be filled with a spectrum of wonderful colors.

I'm proud to be a cancer survivor (ovarian, lung, and stomach), and I'm honored to be on the Survivors & Caretakers wall!

Part of my cancer series.

When I went through treatment I didn't want to make friends with people with cancer, because when I was 7 my best friend died from cancer. It was hard to see this happen to a child and I didn't want to see any one else I cared about go through it. Years after treatment I started going to the Creative Center which offered free art classes for people with cancer. That's when I started making friends with people who had cancer. Some of them passed away but I'm glad to have met them. Sometimes the world can seem like a better place because of the good people you meet along the way. I think it would have been better for me to have done that earlier. Cancer can get easier when there's people around. Your not alone if you choose not to be. There's lots of good charities out there looking to help.
