Malignant brain tumors contain cancer cells and often do not have clear borders. They are considered to be life threatening because they grow rapidly and are more difficult to treat

My way to survive cancer treatments was to start knitting again. I love choosing colors and textures that when blended are pleasing to wear and look at.. The white accent strips are the knitting needles!!!
Week 38 out of 52 Weeks for Dogs for my Zooie.
Zooie isn't an outside dog. He really just wants to be where I am. When the dogs all go outside to go to the bathroom, Zooie's the first one back on the deck to come in. If I don't let him in right away, he'll give a quick bark to let me know he's waiting for me.
I love his little bottom tofers showing in this shot. Pardon the doggie nose prints on the glass. I'd already cleaned them that morning but with five dogs.....well you know how it is.
Zooie's ulcers continue to heal well. The one on his broken "elbow" still needs to remain covered since Zooie starts to lick at it. I'm hoping all ulcers will be healed enough so we can take another radiograph next week and get an idea about how long the splint will have to go back on.
Meanwhile, my precious boy remains in good spirits. When he's happy it's hard for me to feel any other way!
Tristan recieves treatment at UC Davis Children's Hospital in Sacramento. He just finished his final chemo!
Cancer series, thinking of making a book out of this series, to sell and raise money for cancer charity, like the Creative Center that gives free art classes to people with cancer, keeping the spirit strong through art.
I posted a thread on Light Junkies called Light Painting Charity about creating a light painting group that would donate photos for a book to raise money for charity, a global LP collaboration. Looking for LP'ers and any advice in making a book, and maybe a website to sell the book and prints.

Tim here is an avid triathlon participant and all-around great guy. He's also a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is one of 44 survivors photographed for the project. We got about 60 frames of Tim during his shoot and while this one didn't make the cut for the exhibit, it had too much character to toss into the circular file. So here's Tim, inviting you to come see the gun show. "Boom! Boom! Fire power!"

The only difference between a researcher and a patient is a diagnosis. . I think we have to go beyond finding the cure, with all of its collateral damage, to finding the cause. We have to stop people from getting cancer in the first place.
Having cancer myself has given me a new sense of urgency. We have a limited number of days in our lives—you become more aware of that—and if I’m going to spend them coming to work, then I’m not going to be just diddling around.
I often tell my daughter that whether it’s changing the world or having a good time, we should not put off what we think we should do. You never know when you will be caught up short with a serious disease. We are all patients eventually!
I drink the expensive wine now.

Part of my ongoing cancer series that I want to turn into a book to raise money for a cancer charity. I used some of my left over medications and projected them in different places as a metaphor of how cancer can affect you and be on your mind no matter where you are, it can be hard to escape from that reality but it's part of the struggle to continue living your life as normal as possible despite how you may feel. I'm still trying to be one of those cancer survivors that seem to do everything they put their mind too.
If your a light painter or interested in light painting check out this new light painting group Shining Light on Cancer. Thanks.
Part of my cancer series. I think this clock might be too fancy for this series, but jules by night got me thinking about using metaphor's for time since that tends to be an important aspect to cancer and treatment. So I think a different clock would work better. I do like the idea about exploring time, at times it seems too slow and other times it's too fast. Looking for different things/metaphors for this series.

Tattoo (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia): A tattoo is a marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons. Tattoos on humans are a type of decorative body modification, while tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification or branding.
Tattoos have served as rites of passage, marks of status and rank, symbols of religious and spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, sexual lures and marks of fertility, pledges of love, punishment, amulets and talismans, protection, and as the marks of outcasts, slaves and convicts. The symbolism and impact of tattoos varies in different places and cultures. Tattoos may show how a person feels about a relative (commonly mother/father or daughter/son) or about an unrelated person. Today, people choose to be tattooed for cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious, and magical reasons, and to symbolize their belonging to or identification with particular groups, including criminal gangs (see criminal tattoos) but also a particular ethnic group or law-abiding subculture.

Practicing “Shelter in Place/Stay at Home”. Being a care provider for two Octogenarians with serious health issues I have to play it safe for their sake as we get through this COVID-19 pandemic. That means, staying inside when not at work. (Social Services direct care providers are considered “essential workers”). Posting pics that I never processed. Looking at old pics often brings back sweet memories of yesterday. Stay safe everyone.

Cancer doesn't care it's Christmas. It can be rough being sick for the holidays. I've been seeing people on tv bringing gifts to children's hospitals, it's inspiring to see their faces light up with the generosity of strangers.
Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, New Year.
