CN 54313, CN 5442 and CN 5541 head west with CN 705 after a crew change at Turcot West. CN 705 is an empty oil train, though you can't tell from this shot! Ahead of the empty tank cars were a good 50 or so flat cars with military equipment destined for Wainwright, Alberta.

An RCAF Aurora from 407 sqn. making a planned missed approach off runway 27 here. None of us can figure out the significance of the scorpion on the tail as it doesn't match with 407's badge or any other outfit.

at Abbotsford International Airport (YXX)
Typical Canadian weather, a cold, misty, rainy day, provided the backdrop for a historical meeting of two of the World's premiere military jet demonstration teams. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and patrouille de France line up for a joint team portrait on the apron at Gatineau Executive Airport north of Ottawa after the AERO150 airshow. On the left is the Canadair Tutor in the symbolic Snowbirds livery, and right the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet in the patrouille de France colours, with the promotional vertical stabilizer. The airshow highlighted Canada's 150th birthday, and 100 years of the Battle of Vimy Ridge during the great War.

Unfortunately this is only a large-scale model of a DHC-7/CC-132 in Canadian Armed Forces livery.
The original aircraft was:
CAF 132001 - de Havilland Canada CC-132 Dash 7 (DHC-7)
c/n 8 - built in 1979 - retired 1987 -
registered C-GJSZ Boeing of Canada Ltd -
sold to ARKIA as 4X-AHI - stored
Would be nice to have the original aircraft back in Canada and properly preserved (CWHM has no space available for sure)

"Canforce 2516" making a planned missed approach. I only shot this Hercules to get the serial number, so not good quality. Decided to upload when I saw the ice build-up on the wings from cold soaked fuel tanks.

I’m deeply thankful to all who’ve served and continue to stand up for what is honourable, moral and right.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
