An M109A4+ Self-Propelled Howitzer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
It held a crew of 6 featuring as its primary armament a 155-millimetre cannon with a rate of fire of 1 - 2 rounds per minute with a range of 18,000 metres (18 kilometres).
Its secondary armament was a .50 calibre M2B machine gun. This type of mechanized artillery was used by the Canadian Armed Forces between 1968 - 2005.
This vehicle was most likely prepared and restored by 202 Workshop Depot, and replaces another M109A4+ Self-Propelled Howitzer (# 26) which stood at the same spot last year.
It is located on the Alert Road entrance to the Hylands Golf Course.

HMCS St John's is a Halifax-class frigate, built by St John Shipbuilders in 1994. She was launched in 1995 and commissioned the following year. In recent years she has undertaken a significant mid-life modernisation. She is shown heading to sea to take part in the NATO 2018 Joint Warrior exercise.
At the time that this Canadian military Lockheed CC-130E joined the Hercules line-up at RAF Greenham Common during the 1979 International Air Tattoo, she was emblazoned with just 'Canada' and 'Armed Forces/Forces Armées' titles but with recent changes their replacements and all other aircraft in the Canadian inventory have now reverted to the addition of the 'Royal' moniker previously carried by the them.
These days, this example 130316 and her 1960's delivered contemporaries in the RCAF have all been replaced by the far more capable CC-130J version of this enduring Lockheed design,
itself going back to the early 1950's.
With well over 2,500 built - the venerable old 'Herc' is going to be around in our skies for a very long time.

Schiphol, 12 January 1985.
A Canadian CC-130E taxiing at Schiphol-East, the oldest part of the airport.
In the 1980s we had the annual Reforger (Return of Forces to Germany) exercises. 1985 was a good one for the spotters. US troops were flown to Europe to reinforce the US Army in Europe. They arrived in Holland in C-141B Starlifters and changed to C-130's and C-160's for transport to the 'frontline'.

At 31 years old, 15003 was build and delivered in 1988 to Wardair Canada as C-FWDX, transferring in 1990 following Wardair Canada's demise to Canadian Airlines International, it spent a brief period with Compass Airlines in 1992 as VH-YMI, before returning to the Canadian Airlines International fleet until the Canadian Armed Forces acquired it in December 1992.
Jever, 7 June 1986.
A T'bird in the rain. Or rather a Silver Star, because that's how the Canadians called their Lockheed CT-133ANs.
In those days 133315 was based in West Germany with five other Silver Stars of the 1st Canadian Air Group. They were a common sight at airshows and exercises. This example crashed near Karlsruhe in April 1987.

Reflecting on an amazing weekend at the Waterloo Airshow, it was truly amazing and I can not wait for the next edition.
Une réflexion sur le spectacle aérienne de Waterloo, c'était un super de beau show, et j'ai hâte à la prochaine édition.
This aircraft was built as an A310-304 in Jul-86 and stored at Toulouse before it's first flight as F-WWCP in Dec-86. It was returned to storage until it was delivered to Wardair Canada as C-FWDX in Jan-88. Wardair was merged into Canadian Airlines International in Oct-89.
The aircraft was stored at Vancouver(?), Canada in Jan-91. It was leased to Compass Airlines (Australia) as VH-YMI in Jun-91. It returned to Canadian Airlines at the end of Jan-92 and was stored again.
The aircraft was sold to the RCAF Royal Canadian Air Force (now renamed Canadian Armed Forces) in Dec-92, designated as a CC-150 Polaris and serialled 15003. In Dec-96 it was fitted with a main deck cargo door, becoming an A310-304C and able to carry passengers or cargo. It was repainted in this 'Retro' livery in Nov-18. Now 33 years old, it continues in service. Current (Jul-19).

1992, when the Canadians still had Hornets stationed in Germany. Three squadrons were based at Baden Sollingen near the French border. The CF-18 seldomly wore unit emblems.
