104795, Lockheed CF-104G Starfighter (CN 683A-1095) of 1 Canadian Air Group, Canadian Armed Forces photographed at the International Air Tattoo at RAF Greenham Common on 23 July 1983. Originally built in 1962/3, after Canadian service the jet passed to Turkey's Türk Hava Kuvvetleri as 8-795 in 1986. Unfortunately, it did not last long, being destroyed after an apparent mid-air collision with 8-837 on 2 February 1987, the pilot ejecting safely. Scanned from an original 35 mm colour transparency via Hasselblad X-5.

My tattoo is a tribute to my Grandfather (B145216) and his brother Edward(B133918) who was KIA on August 11 1944. Edward was a Medic who landed on Juno Beach and was killed near Caen. My brother and I made a promise to our grandfather on his death bed to visit Juno and Edward's grave as we would be the first family to visit. The flag was left at Edward's grave at Bretteville-sur-Laize Cemetery where we buried our Grandfathers ashes with his brother.

109159 from the No. 412 Squadron Detachment Lahr, W. Germany, was seen again at Riem the same year, on 4 December 1977. The Caravelle behind is Euralair’s F-BSEL.
Information from airhistory.net - thanks to Gary Vincent:
Originally a Napier Eland powered CL-66B delivered by Canadair to the RCAF September 20,1960 and was one of the last 10 Convair-Liners built. After support for the Eland was dropped, the Cosmopolitan was converted to 580 standard with Allison engines and re-delivered January 10, 1967.
109159 went on to fly in Panama as HP-1473 from December 2003. It was seen stored at Panama City (PTY) in November 2007 and flown from there to Kelowna, BC, in September 2012 (arrived 20 Sep 2012). (Sources: ruudleeuw.com, abpic.co.uk)

Former RCAF 109159 was one of five retired RCAF CC-109 aircraft parked on the Kelowna Flightcraft ramp in September 2014. Each aircraft had about 15,000 hours and, while the engines had been removed, they all appeared to be in good condition. I was told that they all had glass cockpits installed just prior to be retired by the RCAF. Due to the difficulty in getting them certified for civilian use and a limited market for CV580/CV5800 freighters, by August 2017, all but C-GLWF/109152 had been scrapped. (Ralph M. Pettersen on airhistory.net)

Daimler Ferret Armoured Scout Car MK-1/1 on static display at Canadian Forces Base Borden located in Simcoe County Ontario Canada
I've been sitting on this shot for awhile, but since the Whitehorse has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons, I thought it may be a good time to post it. It is a nasty, grainy photo but I like the overall effect.

A Canadian Armed Forces McDonnell Douglas CF-188A Hornet on static display at Mildenhall Air Fete '86. Shot in late May 1986 on Kodak VR 100 colour negative film rated at 100 ASA using a Nikon F301 35mm SLR. I think I had by this time acquired a Sigma 24mm f/2.8 super wideangle manual focus lens to go with F301. Scanned to DNG raw file using a Plustek 8200i film scanner and processed from the DNG file using Capture One Pro 23. As with the previous Mildenhall Air Fete '86 posts, I used Topaz Labs Denoise AI 3.7 to moderate the film grain.
