I'm pretty sure this is a female Brazilian teal. Elmwood Park Zoo has been blessed with much donated money. They're currently doing some construction that is part of a much bigger plan for the zoo. I'll be able to return in February to see the teals and many more resident animals.

It's finals season again, and in the life of a university student that means stress. In the middle of studying, we just decided to run to the beach and relax for a while. It was so calming and enjoyable, and the sunset was great. The water was serene and not too cold, so basically, it was an excellent afternoon.
The normally white facade of the Idaho Falls Temple glows a "peach" color in the setting sun. This Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sits on the bank of the Snake River and is an iconic structure in Idaho Falls.
The calm water of Bronte Beach's tidal pool is always so inviting, even two thirds through winter!

When the moon rose above Fujisan, she was made blush by the setting sun. There was no wind and the surface of the lake was very calm. The scene made my mind calm and peaceful, too.
