La Olla Caliente es el restaurante con espectáculo erótico más conocido y veterano de España. Diversión y buena comida.
Last stop before Machu Picchu. If you like shopping eating and more street hawkers than you can beat with a stick, then you'll love this place. Think internment camp for tourists. Innumerable markets, shops, restaurants, hostels etc. I hated this place. Astoundingly beautiful scenery and almost no way to access it - only more street hawkers. Augas Calientes - (hot water because of local thermal baths) Ultra bizarre place especially if you're not big on shopping. One is almost forced to go through this town if you want to get to Machu Picchu. Surrounded by completely inaccessible and astounding beauty. Never was able to get my hand in that water, darn-it all.
Finally I reached Ojo Caliente natural spring, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
I hiked around Monticello looking for a natural spring and ruins from the past.
This historic area is also where Indian Agent John Philip Clum arrested Geronimo and his band of Apaches over 125 years ago, in April 1874.
The Caliente Railroad Depot was built by the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad (later the Union Pacific Railroad) in 1923 to serve the railroad's division point on the mainline between Los Angeles, California, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Now City offices.
