It was Simon's sister-in-law's birthday recently and she had a lovely selection of cakes on offer.
All home made, all delicious, all gone about 8 seconds after this picture was taken.
I found the HK plates the day before and it has whipped cream & strawberry cakes on them -- so I had to get a whipped cream & strawberry cake to match, lol! :)
Instead of mints and nuts. The candy colors matched the wedding colors. This was set up by the cake table.
My roommate Kendra bakes.. this is a test for a wedding cake she is baking in the summer. Yum! She's going to have a website up soon if anyone in the Toronto area is looking for cakes or cupcakes.

Rich Chocolate tiered cake with each tier trimmed in lace provided by the bride. Vanilla bean cupcakes decorated in a selection of bows, pearls, brooches and flowers. Inspired by the infamous Cotton and Crumbs.
I almost got all the food out on the table when the boys started attacking, so a couple of Mums held them back while I took a quick photo, lol!
The background was designed by my amazing friend, she's so clever at this kind of thing she really ought to quit her job and go be a kids party planner.
Jennifer and Brian wanted cupcakes and a cake topper for their wedding.. in their wedding colors of red, black and white. The color themed cupcakes have simple swirled buttercream icing with sugar pearls and crystal sugar. THe topper cake is buttercream iced and coated with sparkling red crystal sugar and topped with a simple monogram.
The bride made her own cupcake stand and the cupcakes were placed in alternating pattern (black, red, black) to accentuate the contrast.
Also, the netted table was a clever way to protect the display in the outdoor farm setting that the reception was in. Plus, it looked soft and romantic with the cascading tule and red satin cloth! =)

A very pretty, vintage styled Cake Table for the lovely Jenny and Robin's wedding today at Old Down Manor.
