The most famous cake in the world for 175 years!
The Original Sacher-Torte has been the most famous cake in the world since 1832 and the original recipe a well-kept secret of Sacher hotel.
Invented by Austrian Franz Sacher in 1832 for Prince Wenzel von Metternich in Vienna, Austria.
Only the Original Sacher-Torte is produced according to this original recipe: The basis is a chocolate cake, thinly coated by hand with best-quality apricot jam. The chocolate icing on top of it is the crowning glory. The Original Sacher-Torte tastes best with a portion of unsweetened whipped cream, complemented perfectly with a “Wiener Melange” (coffee with milk) from the Original Sacher Café.
You can buy the Original Sacher-Torte in one of the four Sacher shops or at the Confiserie in Vienna, Salzburg, Graz or Innsbruck. As well, you can also order an Original Sacher-Torte via this website. The delivery via courier service takes only a few days and can be exported throughout most of the world.

I've been wanting to do a dessert table for ages and I thought it would be perfect to do one for my nephew's Christening day which was on Sunday. There was a lot of work in it but it was well worth.
I told my sister Vivienne I had an idea of doing a nautical theme with a wee boat on top of the cake or I could do a baby elephant/animals theme but I'm so glad she chose the nautical theme!
I really want to do another one now! lol
It all went really well and everyone went home with plenty of goodies.
Table included:
- 2-tier cake: red velvet with vanilla mascarpone filling bottom tier and vanilla pound cake with swiss b/c and raspberry jam top tier
- chocolate cupcakes
- lemon cupcakes
- cranberry and white chocolate cookies
- raspberry & creme fraiche meringues
- wee fruit cups (to freshen the palate amidst all the sugary goodness! lol)
- lemon desserts - creamy lemon curd and lemon shortbread layers
- assortment of cake bites - vanilla, red velvet and chocolate
- popcorn and mini eggs
- we popped champers to go in the glasses when everyone arrived
Safe to say a good time was had by all and Arthur was a wee star on the day. X

Popped round our friend Hannah's for a slice of cake, another mum to be but with a little more time on her side.
All dark chocolate mud cake with sugar tulips wedding 080808. Just waiting for the cake table, so I can put on the topper. Thought Id take a pic on their beautiful cabinet.
100 organic and natural newborn diapers (so cute with that little cutout for the belly button) my mom suggested we elevate the paper cake stands and so we glued a plastic cup under it and it worked out perfectly.. these should really have been named "talkingpieces" as that is exactly what they caused at each table.. haha..
Based on the number of candles I counted, the girl was turning 11 years old. Photo was found on eBay.
Januari 18th 2003 this beauty was born. Today on her 16th birthday she was even willing to pose for my camera.

Time to show you the cake my sister made for the wedding! Here's that moment when Matt and Sophie cut into the cake! (Sophie's Dad couldn't have found a bigger knife!!)
Inspired by David Hobby's recent article on photographing a cake, I got the recipe and made the cake today. It's the first i've ever made and came out really tasty.
I also wanted to photograph it in a way that referred to DH's shot, but with a more australian focus.

Sweet Sunny! So it was you who put all those lavenders on the table!
Finally, I found evidence showing how it all happened. Grape must have invited the rainbow sprites, but they startled poor Sunny who does not know them yet, arriving suddenly out of nowhere (like they always do) while she was preparing the table for the party. She got dressed especially for the occasion, even put on her very special pair of shoes we got for her recently.
Oh! I forgot to tell what the occasion was! Well, it's my birthday ^_^ I'm completing my 31st year on this world and determined to continue playing with dolls as far as it goes ;) And I want to use this chance to thank you all my dear friends, for taking your time to look at my little pieces of imagination and to share my excitement... Thank you so much for your support, for playing along with me ^_^ What a sweet world you showed me, where dreams never cease to exist <3
