I know that Fabian Nicieza created Deadpool. And while I enjoy me some Deadpool, my childhood jam was ol' Nathan Summers, aka Cable. So, I had to get my worn copy of X-Force #1 signed, and I always loved the Cable miniseries by Art Thibert / Fabian, so I procured an eBay Dynamic Forces signed copy by Thibert so that Fabian could sign that as well. The Split Second issue was procured prior to the con, as cover artist Kris Anka was at HeroesCon as well (Reilly Brown - you're next!).
Row 1: a linen thread belonging to Julie R – about Perle #8 weight
Row 2: I suspect a rayon thread from a Twistie from Sharon Boggon. I ran it through bees wax first.
Row 3: It looked like knitting cotton!

As I was to learn later, these cars are literally towed by a long loop of cable that goes round and round under the streets.
I was surprised how small the functional part of the connector was, considering they're usually surrounded by bulky plastic.
