Het indrukwekkende uitzicht vanuit de kabelbaan van en naar de top van de Rots van Gibraltar, met het Brits overzees gebied op de voorgrond en de Spaanse stad Taifa Algeciras aan de overkant van de baai.

The impressive view from the cable car to and from the top of the Rock of Gibraltar, with the British Overseas Territory in the foreground and the Spanish city Taifa Algeciras across the bay.

A clamped steel brake cable on a well used bicycle in a 4 cm crop. The most important cable at hand. If this were to break or come loose one could be injured or worse. Take care out there: and happy MM.
I was looking for the id of this little fellow, seen on a fence near Waurn Ponds, Victoria, Australia. I'm now content to call it as per above. Thanks all.

The ride up to the Pic Du Midi Observatory is a hair raising two cable cars stretch across the valleys to climb 1100m to reach the observatory and viewing platform at the top

I took this from the inside of a cable car in San Francisco, looking out the back. The guy who collected the tickets was standing right in front of me, on the other side of the glass, yet in the picture it looks like you can see right through him! It's quite spooky - I think it's a strange optical illusion, because of the way the buildings on the other side of the street are almost perfectly reflected in the glass. I've studied the picture for ages and still can't fathom it!
Its hard to pass up an opportunity to visit Railfan Heaven while in the same continent.
A long stack train with three General Electrics up front and two pushing from behind snakes through Cable.
Good to see there are a few warbonnets still roaming around. The dash-8s and scungy 6xx series seem to have been parked, but what's left of the 7xx and 4700-19 batches seem in reasonable nick, despite coming up on two decades of service next year.

Two strip malls on Las Vegas Boluevard, Cable Center Shops and Hawaiian Marketplace, have closed and will likely be demolished as the owner plans to build "a new flagship retail, entertainment and dining experience" on the site. This location is directly across the street from the CityCenter development, which includes the Aria Resort & Casino, Waldorf Astoria hotel, and luxury shopping center The Shops at Crystals; and immediately south of the rumored resort and casino financed by Tilman Fertitta.
