Cuba Libre be my love tonight
She was running down the street of solitude
Cuba Libre be my love tonight
A lonely rose was bleeding from the root
And they sang, Na, na, na, na, na, na
I close my eyes and believe in
One day we'll meet when were dreaming
That's the only place where we can hide
The music we made together, will always be there forever
Goodbye my love sleep tight tonight
Libre love, libre us
Take me to the place where we can be ...

The Cuban Trogon or Tocororo (Priotelus temnurus) is a species of bird in the family Trogonidae. It is endemic to Cuba, where it is also the national bird. Its natural habitats are dry forests, moist forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
The Cuban trogon is very colorful with a green back, blue crown, red belly and beak, and white throat and chest. These colors mimic the colors of the Cuban flag which is why it was chosen to be the national bird of Cuba. It has a long fluffy tail which is unique amongst trogons. From beak to tail, this bird is between ten and eleven inches. In flight, these birds travel in pairs creating a large amount of noise because of their rough, graceless flying technique. (Wiki)
I got lucky while on a Cuban holiday. Some new friends we made at the resort told me about a woodpecker nest just outside my room. The nest was quite low and had some good light, so over the course of the week, I visited it regularly and probably took about 2000 pictures. I wanted to get good flight shots so the camera was set to 20 frames per second. This is my first one that I am happy with but I suspect I will end up posting about 10 to 15 shots of this species. Stay tuned!
Given my shutter speed of 1/25 and the fact that the air fan is frozen there must have been no ventilation in this garment factory. I did however poke my head in through an open window. Photographed in central Havana, Cuba.

This is the entrance of a very popular restaurant....not in Cuba, no. In Kalkbay, South Africa. I posted a photo of the interior a while ago.
I can recommend the place, it's called "Cape to Cuba".
