Northbound CSX manifest freight Q506 has a nice, freshly repainted SD40-2 leader on a very cold 3rd day of January of 2018 as it heads up the former B&O Cincinnati - Toledo mainline at Chickering Avenue.

Earlier this year, I was out at Tarrytown, railfanning Metro-North's Hudson Line, and one of the sightems was this very late CSX Selkirk/Oak Point train, with GE AC4400CW 464 on the point, and dozens of reefers, covered hoppers, and garbage cars in tow. Running under a 15 Mile Per Hour Slow Order, Southbound CSX Intermodal I025 creeps through Fitzgerald, Georgia with intermodal traffic for Jacksonville, Florida out of Bedford Park, Illinois. On the head end today is GE ES44AC #3223 and EMD ST70AH #8903. The Boxcar trailing behind the Engines is a converted Track Inspection Car. Fitted with Red Light Cameras underneath, specialized equipment fitted inside uses these cameras to scan for defects along the rails that are too small to see with the naked eye.
