CTA "Green Hornet" postwar PCC 4391 (St Louis 1948 order 1662) @ Illinois Railway Museum, Union IL 7-4-2010
Unlike the prewar "Blue Geese", the postwar PCC cars were built as Pay As You Enter cars as were most of Chicago's two-man cars. One boarded the car through the triple stream rear doors and paid one's fare to the conductor who stood directly in front of them on the opposite side. One could then take a seat and/or exit the car either at the single center door or the double-stream front doors. Chicago had one of the largest PCC fleets but the size of their system was such that they could be found only on a few heavily used routes.
This is the only postwar Chicago PCC left. All the rest were scrapped and the parts used to make "L" cars 6201-6720 and 1-50.
CSL SW1500 #30 was recently out getting rebuilt and repainted, and looks as good as ever as it heads west on the CSX Lake Subdivision in Hammond along with SW1001 #29
CTA 1218 heads south down Canal street at 16th. The car is crossing over the Q and in the backround is the St Charles Air Line. Date and photographer are unknown.

November 30, 2012
Numbered #13 (My favorite number) out of only 50, this is one of the rarest BMWs ever made. Introduced in 2022 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of BMW's Motorsport division, the 3.0 CSL is one of if not the most insane car to roll out of the German manufacturer's factory in recent times. Boasting BMW's most powerful road-legal Straight-6 engine producing over 550hp, this modern take on the "Batmobile" costs about $1.6M before even registering it for road use in Singapore.
Kalvin's TEs and Alvin's CSLs.
SWS shoot featuring Kalvin's SC300 on TE37s, and his brother Alvin's M3. We drove from Steilacoom out towards Tacoma's new LeMay Museum which is in works. Then drove around and found some awesome spots.

Chicago Surface Lines "Matchbox" 1374 (St Louis 1905 order 715) @Illinois Railway Museum 7-4-2002
The Matchboxes were too small for even the lighter lines in Chicago. As more of the lighter lines were converted to bus and as the PCC's made larger cars more available, the y were gone from revenue service by the CTA takeover. 1374 survived by being converted to a salt car to de-ice the streets in winter. This is a good restoration job.
