I didn't get a drone view of this gorgeous boat coming under Bridge 11 like I planned because it took too long coming across Lake Ontario from Bowmanville, Ontario. However, at least the sun came out and I got something for my effort today as it enters the Welland Canal at Port Weller, Ontario.

Chicago Surface Lines "Matchbox" 1374 (St Louis 1905 order 715) @Illinois Railway Museum 7-4-90

The Matchboxes were too small for even the lighter lines in Chicago. As more of the lighter lines were converted to bus and as the PCC's made larger cars more available, the y were gone from revenue service by the CTA takeover. 1374 survived by being converted to a salt car to de-ice the streets in winter. This is a good restoration job.

Chicago Surface Lines #144 is in front of Barn #9 at IRM in this August 1, 2004 photo. Notice how the passengers are boarding at the rear. This was common practice on CSL and successor CTA.
