My favorite time of the evening and I only get to shoot them once a week. That's because I'm working a second shift 5 days a week and I need to share my weekends with my family. So I choose if it's saturday or sunday based on weather conditions and what's on my honey-doo list. :)
I think because I am unable to see sunsets but once or twice a week it makes them that much more precious to me. Now if I could only find somebody to pay me to do this for a living I would be on Cloud 9. (With a lovely sunset) :)
And to think this photo sat on my hardrive for 4 months, Until last night when I was setting up my new MacbookPro and Photoshop LightroomCC. (I used to use a 2006 MacbookPro) When I was importing the 40,000 images in my collection and I scrolled past this one, it caught my eye immediately. This was taken on the same night of my post called "Land/CityscapeByMoonlight" further down in my stream.
How many can you count? Bits of icebergs on #iceland sea changes every day. Countless small icebergs. I hopped for a nice sunrise but that never happened. Time to play long exposures and some black and white.

I put this together to illustrate a scary story. It is composited from several images (trees are from an Alaska trip i took, the big tree is in my backyard, and the shot of my daughter was taken in my living room with a lamp lighting her).
A re-visit, but this time re-worked in LAB mode for some nice colours.

This picture was shot hand held in RAW. Processed file in Photoshop CS6. Removed original background and replaced with a black one. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz Clarity for additional boost in contrast and color. Topaz Glow using the Neon Effect for the final look.
Cattle Egret at Oregon Zoo. I decided to do something different to the image by using one of the Neon Effects in Topaz Glow. Have a great weekend everyone!

Technically this is still a Waxing Gibbous Moon at 99% disk but it looks full to me. This was a 4 panel mosaic, stitched in Microsoft ICE and processed in Photoshop CS6.

Not much better than a great old Coca-Cola sign...especially when it is in as good a shape as this one. I am not sure about the actual restaurant but I suspect it was some finger lickin' good bar-b-que once upon a time!!
Image was taken during my trek to photograph all 95 county courthouses across my home state of Tennessee...now revisiting in order that the courthouses were photographed!
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
