"The poorest Day that passes over us is the conflux of two Eternities; it is made up of currents that issue from the remotest Past, and flow ownwards into the remotest Future. We were wise indeed, could we discern truly the signs of our own time; and by knowledge of its wants and advantages, wisely adjust our position in it. Let us, instead of gazing idly into the obscure distance, look calmly around us, for a little, on the perplexed scene where we stand. Perhaps, on a more serious inspection, something of its perplexity will disappear, some of its distinctive characters and deeper tendencies more clearly reveal themselves; whereby our own relations to it, our own true aims and endeavours in it, may also become clearer." ~Thomas Carlyle

I was up at Big Bear Lake taking pictures, and I came across a small creek with the clearest water I have ever seen. You could see every rock at the bottom as if the water wasn't even there.
I took this photo with my Minolta SRT-101 camera, and Adox CHS Art 100 film.
......were the reflections in the late afternoon autumn light. Lovely to feel the warmth of the sun on our backs while the colours 'popped' out of the pond.

This snapshot was taken from a small boat on Jackson Lake, in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. The mountains, I believe, are the Teton Range. It may be of Signal Mountain or Mount Moran; I'm not completely sure. What I am sure about, however, is that the day was stunning, and the beauty of the scene was absolutely breathtaking.

And cold to? Yes, a little, but Jacob and I managed to stay in the water for 10 minutes, so refreshing! And fun going against the current. Rio Cares, Asturias.

Day four of the Big SEKI Loop involved leaving the JMT junction around the Middle Fork of the Kings River and heading up through Big Meadow to the Golden Staircase and over Mather Pass. I ended the day off trail, near the base of Split Mountain, a remote 14,000ft+ peak on the eastern edge of the park. Certainly lots of people on the JMT which was expected but disappointing. However, the Palisades Lake area and views from Mather Pass made up for it! The scenery is sublime Sierra classic of soaring grey walls and a crystal clear river.
Photo taken during Day 4 of my Big Sequoia/Kings Canyon Loop. This was about a 300km/180 mile loop through various trails and off trail rambling in the Sierra Mountains of two National Parks. It included elements of the PCT, High Sierra Trail and John Muir Trail with less crowds.

Finding a candle holder at T. J. Maxx in the clearance section for $5.00 was amazing. I can foresee me using this object for a large number of Detail and Marco shots, as well as learning how to light glass.
I was surprised a bit by how clear the Wadden Sea is at certain spots. Especially because this sea is known for its mud flats. The pollution you see here is because everyone walked through it, disturbing the soil...
