Of course, Goslar could not be missing on our short trip. Who visits Goslar, should also plan the Butterhanne. Gose beer is here certainly some a term. After a Butterhanne visit you are now up here and try this shot;)) Yes the Gose beer 🍺

………We could always try the dogs home & see if they will have us!………An ‘also-ran’ for ’Smile on Saturday’ with the theme of ‘Backside’. The astute will recognise the Pink Floyd Album cover ‘Animals’ & know Battersea is home to an iconic power station famed also for its Dog & Cat home since the year 1860. Sometimes the "would have beens" and the "could have beens" can take over my life!
It is hard to be a dreamer and a realist at the same time!! :-)

I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.
A view of one of dozens of graffiti murals that could be seen at the HOPE Outdoor Gallery on Castle Hill, a graffiti park that was located from 2011 to 2019 at Baylor and 11th St. on the site of a failed condo development project from the Eighties. A new condo project in booming Austin resulted in closure of the site in 2019.
Austin's graffiti artists will have a new, much larger site at which to express themselves in early 2022. Under construction now (July 2021) is a new HOPE Outdoor Gallery graffiti park, located in East Austin across from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The 17-acre, open-air art park will include large scale public art installations, curated audio and art exhibitions, murals from local, national, and international artists.
With a population of just over one million residents, Austin is the 10th largest city in the United States. The Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Area, now with a population of 2.3M, also is the fastest growing large metropolitan area in the country having added more than 579,000 residents since 2010.
Shot of one of the many paths and lanes that criss cross the beautiful Moss Valley, on the Derbyshire / South Yorkshire border... its a sad thought that this whole area could soon be in the hands of Fracking Contractors

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
What could be more logical than a photo of a busy honey bee on the first day of summer. Therefore - the plant is European dwarf elder (Sambucus ebulus) and of course a honey bee.
Sheesh. Couldn't even get a LHF move.
Adrian & Blissfield GP-9 1752 shoves a short cut of empty tank cars back east to its small yard at Adrian, MI after working W2 Fuel on the western outskirts of town. This after heading west completely backlit pulling three loads.
The rest of my day was similarly successful as I awaited arrival of the snow and ice storm of the century, which blanketed the northern 25% of the US from coast to coast. Good timing on my part.
The one noteworthy part of this scene is the 1867 stone arch bridge over the South Branch Raisin River, the oldest known non-covered bridge in Michigan.

The Broads are manmade waterways. Along with many other mills, Horsey Mill was built to drain the water to create more farmland. Here are some facts quoted from. www.nationaltrustscones.com/2019/10/horsey-windpump.html?m=1
“Here are some historical facts:
There has been a drainage mill on the site since the early 1700s
There are similar mills dotted all around this part of Norfolk - by draining the land using wind power, landowners could make more area available for farming
Drainage continues today - there's an electric pump doing all the work these days, but if it wasn't there then the area would be flooded:
The area used to be an island used for grazing or keeping horses (hence the name), with one access road that regularly flooded
The current windpump structure was built in 1912 on the foundations of the 19th century mill
Horsey Windpump was working until 1943 when it was struck by lightning
It was acquired by the National Trust and has been restored - its sails were set in motion for the first time in 76 years in May this year, which must have been a great moment
As with all mills, it's not the most accessible property - there are several floors and 61 steps to negotiate to get right to the top, most of which are very narrow (I can report that the young sconepals cared not a jot about this and were scampering up the stairs like squirrels)”
What could be more tempting, an empty beach, a changeable weather forecast, and a strong wind making things happen. As the season progresses storms denude the beach of it's sand , and the rock strata is more emphasised. It's like walking on pavements of fossils. Fossil Scale is by Georgia Ruth
It's my favorite day of the week:
"Sliders Sunday"
where I get to slip and slide,
mirror and hide
all the innuendoes . . .
while on my toes
who knows
what may lie?
where one goes
when fall precedes
winter snows . . .
I could love you with my eyes closed
Kiss you with a blindfold
Figure you out
I might hold you with my hands tied
Show you I'm the right guy.

I could not help it and I have visited St Pancras Old Church and Thomas Hardy's tree.
I owe this to my friend Feldore

Here is rainy, cold and windy again, so I reminded that I didn't post this image, one of "to visit" points in London this year.
I wish you all a lovely evening.
Could do with a stained glass window..
The Cathedral quarries are a small network of inter-linked quarries above Little Langdale. The system is best known for its main chamber, which stands forty feet in height, and is lit by two windows off the main quarry. It is frequently referred to as Cathedral “Cave”. I enjoy the grainy aspect when shooting with a low resolution device. Some seem to not favor having large foregrounds or backgrounds but this is how I feel great proportion and balance is gained. I tried many different angles with this shot and personally preferred being able to show the one angler having his morning smoke and the only way I could accomplish this was having their heads above the shore line. By doing this as well highlights the sunrise reflections on the face of the other sportsman. I feel this just ads to the depth of the image. since both heads have a unique presence. Sure I could crop out some of the foreground (Many will say I should) but it's my style and signature if you see my gallery
I could wander the canals of Venice for weeks.
Please enjoy the Venetian details in Large. Thank you so much for your visit!
There are about 3 cats that wander through on cycles, a tabby, a calico, and a black and white. Only with zoom could this be possible.
you could travel the world
but you can't run away from the person
you are in your heart
you could be who you want to be
make us believe in you
keep all your light in the dark
If you're searching for truth, you must look in the mirror
and make sense of what you can see
just be
just be
they say learning to love yourself is the first step
that you take when you want to be real
flying on planes to exotic locations
wont teach you how you really feel
face up to the fact that you are who you are
and nothing can change that belief
just be
just be
cause now i know
it's not so far to where i go,
that I respond, it's inside me
i need to just be
Hello Ralph, glad to see you could make it, how was you're flight?
------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

The song and sentiment pretty much expresses what I think and feel about the well meaning people who fought and resisted and just weren't represented by their senators. It also represents what I think about America. It could've been something at one point. We've lost all that now. Now, we have nothing but a plutocracy and corruption. We have nothing but racism and classism. We are left with our spoiled dreams. But, we could've moved mountains. I tried every day. The mountains just wouldn't budge.

We could achieve much more if we did not think so often that something is impossible. Think occasionally back to the days when you were looking forward
to the things you now have.
