Today (25Oct22) we could see a partial solar eclipse from The Netherlands.
I used a 10 + 6 stops filter to create this capture.
Have a great day, cheers!

A jungle myna on a clean perch. She stayed there for quite long, almost providing us a studio photo session.
If I could read your mind, love
What a tale your thoughts could tell
Just like a paperback novel
The kind the drugstores sell
When you reach the part where the heartaches come
The hero would be me
But heroes often fail
And you won't read that book again
Because the ending's just too hard to take
………We could always try the dogs home & see if they will have us!………An ‘also-ran’ for ’Smile on Saturday’ with the theme of ‘Backside’. The astute will recognise the Pink Floyd Album cover ‘Animals’ & know Battersea is home to an iconic power station famed also for its Dog & Cat home since the year 1860. Happy Friday everyone, Alan:-)

Of course, Goslar could not be missing on our short trip. Who visits Goslar, should also plan the Butterhanne. Gose beer is here certainly some a term. After a Butterhanne visit you are now up here and try this shot;)) Yes the Gose beer 🍺

Sometimes the "would have beens" and the "could have beens" can take over my life!
It is hard to be a dreamer and a realist at the same time!! :-)

I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Wish I could remember the name of this Guy. Could he be a Puffer or Blowfish? I'll just call him Hootie :-)
He was very interested in my camera and seemed to enjoy posing for a portrait.
Thanks to Flickr Friend, Sheri Rapstra, I have Hootie’s Identification. He’s just what he resembles… a Cowfish.
Call me silly, I should have guessed :-)
The longhorn cowfish, Lactoria cornuta, also called the horned boxfish, is a variety of boxfish from the family Ostraciidae, recognizable by its long horns that protrude from the front of its head, rather like those of a cow or bull. They are a resident of the Indo-Pacific region and can grow up to 50 centimeters (20 inches) long. While badly suited to the home aquarium, the cowfish is becoming increasingly popular as a pet.
Adults are reef fish, often solitary and territorial, and live around sand or rubble bottom up to a depth of 50 m. They are omnivorous, feeding upon benthic algae, various microorganisms, and foraminiferans that it strains from sediments, sponges, polychaetae worms from sand flats, mollusks, small crustaceans, and small fish, able to feed on benthic invertebrates by blowing jets of water into the sandy substrate.

What could be more logical than a photo of a busy honey bee on the first day of summer. Therefore - the plant is European dwarf elder (Sambucus ebulus) and of course a honey bee.
Sheesh. Couldn't even get a LHF move.
Adrian & Blissfield GP-9 1752 shoves a short cut of empty tank cars back east to its small yard at Adrian, MI after working W2 Fuel on the western outskirts of town. This after heading west completely backlit pulling three loads.
The rest of my day was similarly successful as I awaited arrival of the snow and ice storm of the century, which blanketed the northern 25% of the US from coast to coast. Good timing on my part.
The one noteworthy part of this scene is the 1867 stone arch bridge over the South Branch Raisin River, the oldest known non-covered bridge in Michigan.

I'm very happy being me, although sometimes I'd love to be a bird so that I could fly rising and falling with the still spaces in the air, far above all this sickness and death and evil.

I couldn't resist trying to get a self portrait of me in the public fishing area of Concord Park. This is as close as I could get to the great blue heron sitting on the end of the pier.

"I wish I could say you get used to people dying. I never did. I don't want to. It tears a hole
through me whenever somebody I love dies, no matter the circumstances. But I don't want
it to "not matter." I don't want it to be something that just passes. My scars are a testament
to the love and the relationship that I had for and with that person. And if the scar is deep,
so was the love. So be it."...

What could be more tempting, an empty beach, a changeable weather forecast, and a strong wind making things happen. As the season progresses storms denude the beach of it's sand , and the rock strata is more emphasised. It's like walking on pavements of fossils. Fossil Scale is by Georgia Ruth
thank drinking the coffee at the diner... your cup is never empty!!
Those who know me know that every Saturday morning for the past 30 years we have breakfast at our local diner...
It's my favorite day of the week:
"Sliders Sunday"
where I get to slip and slide,
mirror and hide
all the innuendoes . . .
while on my toes
who knows
what may lie?
where one goes
when fall precedes
winter snows . . .
Could do with a stained glass window..
The Cathedral quarries are a small network of inter-linked quarries above Little Langdale. The system is best known for its main chamber, which stands forty feet in height, and is lit by two windows off the main quarry. It is frequently referred to as Cathedral “Cave”. I could love you with my eyes closed
Kiss you with a blindfold
Figure you out
I might hold you with my hands tied
Show you I'm the right guy.

I could give this little lake an album of it's own. I've stayed in a cottage nearby three times now and so photographed it loads and in all conditions.
Who could say from this picture️ that fearless birds like Ospreys 🐦can also fall prey?

you could travel the world
but you can't run away from the person
you are in your heart
you could be who you want to be
make us believe in you
keep all your light in the dark
If you're searching for truth, you must look in the mirror
and make sense of what you can see
just be
just be
they say learning to love yourself is the first step
that you take when you want to be real
flying on planes to exotic locations
wont teach you how you really feel
face up to the fact that you are who you are
and nothing can change that belief
just be
just be
cause now i know
it's not so far to where i go,
that I respond, it's inside me
i need to just be
