The Connector is completely free at all times. It has been much criticized for lack of direct income and limited coverage. It does loop through Over The Rhine, downtown and close to the river where the Bengals and Reds stadiums are located. A proposal to extend the route is pending but there is much opposition. I'm a frequent rider because it covers areas where I like to photograph, Unfortunately, I do drive to where I can get on board. Cincinnati, OH

Happy Bokeh Wednesday Everyone!!

While the Connecting Europe Express is nice at showing what European Rail is capable of, the actual task of connecting European countries is being carried out by high speed trains like these 3 meeting in Strasbourg at the same time the CEE was there. From left to right: TGV 5488 Strasbourg-Nantes, ICE 9572 Stuttgart-Paris, TGV 9580 Frankfurt-Marseilles.

The context - what the previous shot was a fragment of. Unlike connecting land over water, connecting multiple images into a panorama isn't always perfect :( The automatic in-camera stitching often produces 'sliced' views, but I thought the damage here is acceptable enough to share the image...

"Does our purpose on Earth directly link to the people whom we end up meeting? Are our relationships and experiences actually the required dots that connect and then lead us to our ultimate destinies? "

How I love bizarre conversations and messages from the Universe that say.... yes, you are supposed to be right here, right now. But why? Who knows.....

Sitting for an impromptu portrait at a restaurant outdoor table, photographer Cass Storm, suggested I wear her polka dotted sunglasses.....just for a few shots.

My polka dot dress was not a planned wardrobe choice. In fact, I rarely wear anything with polka dots.

So, do you agree it seemed a huge coincidence she'd just happen to have a matching pair of shades in her handbag?

Life is full of unknown connections. Shared interests and similar experiences exist beneath outermost appearances.

This sunglasses experience again reminded me to not judge by appearance, and also seek connections however unlikely they may be.

In other words...identifying dots to connect, regardless of how few, is better than assuming none exist. Right?

Dot-dot-dot... that's today's theme in We're Here!. I didn't think I had anything with dots that I could use and then I remembered the coolest shoes I own (and wore yesterday).

Think BIG !

I was thinking about this for quite a long time. First idea was to use some badges that will connect each other (www.flickr.com/photos/maciej_drwiega/23690038304/in/datep...). I did couple of attempts and it was working quite well, however the fit was not perfect as well as it was time consuming to modify bricks.

Couple of months ago I came up with an idea of non-invasive solution.

Finally 2 or 3 weeks ago I found time to work this out and ordered some POGO connectors from AliExpress (links below). Arrived today so here it is. The Poof Of Concept.

I'm still not sure if the spot the spring connector touches the flat base is large enough to distribute power, but some soldering and measurements is a next step.

Finally I can work on the modules! :)

And yes, if it is not obvious - I want to have single power source for all the lights on the layout.

It's been a while since I last joined the Hong Kong Walk with talented photographers in Hong Kong. Therefore I am excited to bring my camera out to meet the gang and one of my biggest inspiration when I first started photography - Michael aka Expatraite Games who made his way to HK for a meetup which is long overdue.
