This is one of the places where Istanbulites like to fish. The bridge you have seen is the Galata bridge. It connects the two sides of the Golden Horn and you can see hundreds of anglers on it. Since some are here for hobbies and some cannot buy food, people from all economic classes are together.
What appears in the background is the Galata tower, although it was built as an observatory in the past, today it serves tourism and there is a nice restaurant on the upper floor.
I prefer cloudy weather for city photography, otherwise unwanted reflections and chromatic aberration may increase. I wanted to leave the fisherman unfocused, I do not find it right to show people's faces in jobs for which I do not get a model release.
There is no greater reward to the end of a week and the beginning of a new to feel rejuvenated. Today, connecting and haveing a bit of meditation walk in the forest was the trick to feeling refreshed. How has your Sunday been?

Inside the city, it's easy for residents to connect and work together. Outside in the forgotten zones however, things are very different. There are small groups eking out an existence, separated from each other by disaster and ruin. In order for these folks to get what they need, they need someone to connect them. Someone to find them, and report back to the city to ask for help. They may not directly deliver goods, or shuttle people to distant locations, but the service they do supply is invaluable. Without them, many people would never be able to make it on their own. Despite otherwise being law abiding citizens, the activities of these "Connectors" are highly frowned upon by the establishment of District 18. While they find it easy enough to control a closed population, the outliers pose a potential threat to their authority.
While I built this purely for fun, I'm still planning to enter it in the District 18 Speeder Bike Contest. There are so many great designs being entered, it'll be fun to be part of such a terrific group.
A day of out on the streets of Cardiff yesterday for some photography, specifically to take abstract pictures of this hotel currently under construction. The Project Manager even stopped for a chat and explained various aspects of its construction.
The grid like pattern of the windows reminded me of the classic Connect 4 game.

If you were a photographer following my family, this is the kind of photo I would want you to take. Jeremiah smiling because he read two full paragraphs. Me, nearly in tears and beaming with pride, because he read those two full paragraphs. Take that dyslexia!

This trio of green frogs was in a big puddle made by a bulldozer - the roadbed where I was wasn't good enough to support the machine so it made a big mess.
Ultra chilled.
