DSTL Arts presented their program and student artwork at the DTLA Night Market, community event, including sponsoring the DTLA Night Market Art Battle where 6 local artists competed in a timed, themed art contest. The winner of the Art Battle was Geoff Pascual, with his watercolor painting of a geisha.

In addition to sponsoring the art battle, DSTL Arts had the opportunity to make new friends and expand our brand with the creative community of Los Angeles, thereby exposing the art created by our students to a larger group of supporters.

The Brownstone

When creating a new garden, this sod cutter, donated by Manitou Passage Golf Club in Cedar, Mi, was worth it's weight in gold. The sod cannot be tilled in, it MUST be removed. If we do our maintenance, it's a one-time thing.

Plus the sod forms the bottom layers of the raised beds. This is known as 'cut and fill'.
