Throughout the school year, the Culinary Arts Academy put together Community Culinary Events. During these meals, students turned the Marriott Bistro into a restaurant and prepared and served food for community members. Guests included a recruiter from Think Food Group, members of the DC Public Charter School Board and blogger Mark Lerner.

Balfour Beatty Communities manages the privatized
family housing at Travis Air Force Base. They do not just maintain the physical condition of the housing units, they have worked to create a safe and attractive community that enhances family life and addresses the special needs of families. Through their programs such as Showers of Appreciation, a giant annual baby shower for military spouses, the BBC Scholarship Foundation and fundraising in aid of base programs, they have demonstrated their true commitment to Travis and its residents.

This session featured nearly one hundred posters that showcased community-engaged activities at UMass Boston, and celebrate the efforts and achievements of faculty, staff, and community partners. Each year the poster showcase provides an excellent opportunity to learn about existing efforts, make new connections, and build stronger collaborations.

October 30, 2018, we gathered at the Willamette Heritage Center to celebrate the power of philanthropy in the Northern Willamette Valley region.
Upon completing the six week course, DigiLit learners received a certificate of completion during graduation.

U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth Hendricks, Brave Buddy volunteer, and Kunio, special-needs athlete, read a map to search for their scheduled sporting events during the Kadena Special Olympics Nov. 5, 2016, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Hendricks assisted Kunio with any needs throughout the day. The KSO began in 2000 with approximately 400 athletes and 600 volunteers as an 18th Wing community goodwill initiative to strengthen U.S.-Okinawa relationships. On May 1, 2023, the Community Collaborative class under the direction of Professor Ananya Roy joined with the Promise Institute to host the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and Soledad GarcÃa Muñoz, special rapporteur on economic, social, cultural and environmental rights. During a hearing that included the presentation of research, several presenters talked about their lived experiences at homeless encampments, including one at Echo Park Lake that had been forcibly cleared by law enforcement two years earlier. CU Community adopted Ms. Roy's 2nd grade class at Boyd and threw them a Christmas party, inclusive of personalized gifts, Santa & Mrs. Claus and Cuccu bird.
The Boston Red Sox are a member of the Major League Baseball’s American League Eastern Division. Since 1912, the Red Sox's home ballpark has been Fenway Park. The "Red Sox" name originates from the iconic uniform feature.

The MARS and PORT team joined the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy (JBRPC) to help prepare the Community Boathouse for Kayaking Season at Vernam Barbadoes Peninsula Preserve. The team helped with the following tasks: placed mulch around the grounds in the pedestrian pathway and moved/arranged bricks to create a pathway border; added dirt to the main launch site ramp and water access; built and painted a picnic table and benches; painted a graffitied shipping container and a graffitied wall.
