Brentford Community Stadium, currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Gtech Community Stadium, is a football stadium in Brentford, West London that is the home of Premier League football club Brentford.
Random Act of Kindness Day initiative, a community-wide day of caring that is run by The Oakville Community Foundation, in partnership with organizations including the YMCA of Oakville, United Way Oakville, Oakville Chamber of Commerce, Public and Separate School Boards of the Halton Region, and others.
In celebration with local organizations, University City Regional Library recognized its 30th anniversary by inviting the community to read, engage, and learn. Throughout the day (and ongoing), the public was able to provide direct input on the programs and features they would like to see from their branch. Free books were given away, several displays were posted to learn about the history of the branch, and free refreshments were also available! Several local community organizations engaged the public with free resources sharing what Charlotte has to offer. The day was capped with two wonderful storytimes for families to enjoy.
Thank you to NASCAR Hall of Fame, Mint Museum, University City Partners, NC Pre-K, Mecklenburg County Public Health, City of Charlotte (Community Relations), Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, and Living Archives Project for celebrating the branch and sharing resources with the community.

"In the ultimate of transformation, a volunteer works diligently on preparing a wall for painting inside the former Ventura County jail facility in Ojai. During the United Way Day of Caring, hundreds of community volunteers descending on the Ojai jail facility to assist in its remodel into a full community resource center in conjunction with Help of Ojai."

Community Day was the culmination of BAMPFA's Grand Opening Week. The museum doors were thrown open for twelve hours to mark this historic occasion. Visitors got a first look at our inaugural exhibition, Architecture of Life. The day included DJs spinning records, dance performanes, a weaving workshop, and other impromptu happenings throughout the building, organized by artist David Wilson. Photo: Marisa Darabi
