One of my favourite images from last year.I haven't shown it before because it was kept back for a competition.Taken on the beautiful Fair Isle,Shetland.

Two of my images were ‘Commended’ by the judges at the ’Take a View Landscape photographer of the year award 2008‘.

They have been awarded a place in the Awards book, with one appearing as a print and one as part of a plasma presentation at London's National Theatre.

Am I chuffed ? Yes I am!!

I am delighted to announce that my 'Lichen On Coastal Cliffs, Butt Of Lewis, Isle Of Lewis' image has been 'Commended' in this year’s Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition and will be included in the hardback book and exhibition.

This guy had to be commended for the effort he put forth to get this guy in position to get down, he worked so hard and deserved every bit of it. He did finally finally fly off with Turtle and all and never did see the final the final take down, but a lot more images leading up to it's final demise.

Im not one to blow my own trumpet but im so proud of myself getting a highly commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the year! My first mention in a proper photography competition and only in my second year of entering competitions.

I don't shoot many urban images but I felt this one fitted the category well. I really need to get out in better light and conditions to match some of the entries in the proper landscape categories!

This image was Commended in the 2020 Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards and also won the 'Spring' Four Seasons Award.

Very pleased that one of my images has been commended in the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards and will be featured at the London exhibition at London Bridge Railway Station 15th Nov 2021-Jan 9th 2022. It will also be published in the upcoming book LPotY#14. Titled ‘M62 The Pennines’, it was a long exposure light trails shot I captured back in January 2019 on a cold winter’s afternoon at sunset at Saddleworth Moor, the highest point of the UK motorway network. The image will be available on my website shortly.

This shot of Rattray Head lighthouse has been commended in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year, and will feature in LPOTY Collection 9 book, and also in the exhibition at London's Waterloo.

I very nearly didn't submit any images, but last minute decided 'why not' and put 7 in. I personally feel this is one of, if not my strongest image this year, and so to have it commended means a lot.

Found out I have been commended In the Landscape photography awards 2017, with the storm picture above. I'm so chuffed its my biggest publication to date and I'll be heading to London on the 20th of November for the opening of the exhibition which will then be touring the U.K.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the support it really has kept me going and got me this far :)

And what better way to celebrate other than taking storm pictures yesterday! It was brilliant so lots of pictures to come!

My LPOTY commended image 2020 in urban view

Had a hunt around for a wheat field being harvested this lunchtime but it was all quiet! I spotted this lone tree in a wheat crop field near Colton so took the opportunity to have a fly over to see what I could make of it, this in fact. Got another top down shot which looks rather cool too, will post later.

After getting close last year I'm really pleased to have made it through this years prestigious competition. The image will be included in this year's book and exhibition.

The exhibition will be held at London Waterloo station. The exhibition will run from 23rd Nov to 7th Feb.
