Coming down either the backstretch or homestretch, I'm not sure which.

The 1/2 mile track was on the county fairgrounds site in Ravenna, Ohio (built in 1879). Harness racing meets took place outside of the regular autumn fairs. People had lost interest in the fair by 1925, and in 1928, the newly formed Ravenna Jockey Club began spring & fall thoroughbred meets here, and even hosted a feature called the Inaugural Handicap. Race results were reported in newspapers from as far away as Cincinnati, Indiana, and even Canada. After meets ended, the horses would run at Northampton in Akron (later known as Ascot Park, & now an industrial park). In 1932, the fairgrounds buildings burned down. The land was later sold as the "Fairlane Allotment," and converted to residential housing.
Three historic OKC buildings are coming down to make way for SandRidge's new headquarters, and the old OKC Savings & Loan building is the first to go.

last saturday i was driving to my cousins wedding in lexington, ky ...there was a horrible accident minutes ahead of me that shut down highway 68 for hours. i detoured and missed the wedding,
sunday morning, i learned that a 14 year old girl lost her life that day.
i still can't get her out of my mind.
on my way home i took dozens of detours, driving down roads i'd only passed by for years. this old house, in old washington, is just one street over from the stretch of road where Miss Hannah Abigail Wilson died. i sat in front of this house and thought of her family and especially the mother whose daughter wouldn't be coming home this mother's day.

I am now completely camera-less so I am pulling out old material and reworking it to get my fix. Hope to get another camera sometime before spring. ;-)

It's 4PM in Garifuna town of Livingston, Guatemala. The heat is getting more tolerable and people are slowly coming out, to sit and chat about things.
Pedestrian bridge construction at Shafer and W Franklin St for the Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships coming in two weeks.
Oops! The birthday party is extending itself into another full episode! So the episode that I already posted a synopsis for will get postponed until the following week. It's a pity, because I have it ready already and will have to write and shoot a full episode this week. But this party one is too delicious not to make. The next episode is thus called:
S2E13: Some of Them Want to Abuse You
The party gets wild and especially Violet and Ophelia enjoy it, but Elliot only has his mind on a certain phone call that he feels he needs to make. The girls make Elliot sing, and he does it to amuse some and annoy others. Elliot doesn't get much sympathy from his family when he suddenly falls ill during a performance. Ophelia on the other hand is ready to give him much more than just simple sympathy.
This involves a lot of crazy partying - whether the attendees like it or not! ;-)
