UP 5546 leads a train down from the Palmdale cut-off on to the Alhambra sub. upon arrival at the Union Pacific West Colton yard. Another train waits for its turn to use the main line. February 26, 2006

While waiting for the full moon to rise, I captured the lights from cars coming in and going out of the Estrella Mountain Ranch community near Goodyear. Now I know that this is not a good vantage point to capture the full moon rising!
take recent private school graduates, send to Nadi in Fiji, then Rotorua, Mata Mata, and Auckland in New Zealand, then drag them, haggard and swaddled in motley sweaters to Sydney, Australia, results are as shown
Previously SMRT played a jingle everytime the train is coming. Then so many people complained of this because they said it was stuck in their head and it was annoying. Well it's indeed stuck in our heads as I still remember what the jingle said: "Train is coming...train is coming...train is comingggg. Please start queueing. Love your ride" ;p

I've noticed loads of bees in our garden over the past week - which is really great - and here's one coming into land on the blossom of a blackcurrant bush!

There are so many native Oregon plants at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. Maybe someday I will learn all their names.
