I had originally wanted to catch the sunset from the Skydeck at the Sears Tower but missed an earlier train so this is what I got instead. I had a fairly small-sized tripod and was able to sneak a few long exposures here and there, although they said no tripods allowed. Stayed up there about an hour and a 70-sec ride on the elevator going down 103-stories, a short walk to Union Station for the 20-minute train ride later, and I'm home for dinner.
I thought that an observation deck was possible from the name and the atmosphere of the building, but the guard who seemed to be robust glared at me at the entrance.
The right was closed in Hyundai department store on that day.

No se cuántas personas rondan a diario por las inmediaciones de este puente, pero por lo percibido resulta ser el auténtico centro neurálgico de la ciudad de Estambul. A ambos extremos del puente, a lo largo de las riberas del "Cuerno de Oro", se encuentran los muelles de Eminönü y Karaköy. Cientos de embarcaciones (vapur/transbordadores) van y vienen desde todos los barrios de Estambul. Una multitud se congrega en esta zona, estambulies y turista se mezclan y entremezclan, y cada individuo con un objetivo diferente: embarcar en uno de los muelles, tomar una de las cientos de líneas de autobuses urbanos con parada en Eminönü, coger el tranvía que cruza el puente, comer en alguno de los restaurantes bajo el puente o simplemente cruzar el puente caminando, pescar desde el puente...

A was invited to the O2 Arena to the ice hockey game between Hannover and Berlin (We won :)). I never saw an ice hockey game in person so I took my camera with me. Fortunately I was able to go out on this terrace. Oh I was so happy that I had my camera with me. The view over Berlin was just amazing :)

St Giles' Cathedral, more properly termed the High Kirk of Edinburgh, is the principal place of worship of the Church of Scotland in Edinburgh. Its distinctive crown steeple is a prominent feature of the city skyline, at about a third of the way down the Royal Mile which runs from the Castle to Holyrood Palace.
The church has been one of Edinburgh's religious focal points for approximately 900 years. The present church dates from the late 14th century, though it was extensively restored in the 19th century, and is protected as a category A listed building.
Today it is sometimes regarded as the "Mother Church of Presbyterianism".The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Giles, who is the patron saint of Edinburgh,as well as of cripples and lepers, and was a very popular saint in the Middle Ages. It is the Church of Scotland parish church for part of Edinburgh's Old Town.

I realized that I had not taken a photo in a while, so I went to re-shoot this Brooklyn location in the early blue hour and knowing the sun would be setting just left of the left bridge pillar.
What I did not know was that the post-sunset colors would match the one from the carrousel in the middle of the photo...
It was great to be out on this mild winter day.
