The Coyote Buttes area is best known for its wonderful sandstone stripes and layering, but there is also a beautiful area of bentonite hills within the wilderness area (South unit). The colors in the hills are unlike any others I've seen, with prominent yellows, pinks, and purples. One of the hills is capped with numerous small rounded pebbles, probably of riverine origin, adding to the geological mysteries of the area.

As I head out most days for a morning swim, I park my car where I can see the back of the cannabis greenhouses producing legal pot by Alefia Greenhouses in Grimsby, Ontario In darker and overcast conditions, the orange glow of the grow lamps inside the greenhouses also bathes the metal of what I believe are ventilation equipment, in a similar orange glow. This makes for an interesting colour blend of orange and a somewhat blue of the sheet metal and interesting shapes in this industrial architectural image. - JW

Chromaticity is an objective specification of the quality of a color regardless of its luminance, that is, as determined by its hue and colorfulness (or saturation, chroma, intensity, or excitation purity).
For lack of anything else to say.

This is the result of one of my bracketings in that enchanted place, where the river Adda flows lazily in meanders towards the Padana plain. Actually, this is a result of a disaster - should have been the second of four shots to be assembled in a pano. Should have been... I have very little experience in panoramas - this would have been my second one, the first in HDR. But something has gone wrong - well, more than something, to be sincere. So I decided to retain at least the first two sections of the tentative pano, processing them separately. I will upload the first section soon.
A deep peace was all over the place, as the tones and colours were changing, slowly evolving towards dawn. The golden light was pouring from the edge of the hills like water from a spring and I was contemplating the wide range of greens just brushed by the first light. My thoughts were flowing in quiet flocks at the sluggish rhythm of the waters.
I could not avoid thinking of the beautiful introduction of Lucretius's philosophical poem De rerum Natura, where Love, personified by Venus/Aphrodite, is the origin of life and order (Lucr. 1. 4-9):
[...] per te quoniam genus omne animantum
concipitur visitque exortum lumina solis:
te, dea, te fugiunt venti, te nubila caeli
adventumque tuum, tibi suavis daedala tellus
summittit flores, tibi rident aequora ponti
placatumque nitet diffuso lumine caelum.
[...] for all of living things
Through thee [Venus/Aphrodite] alone are evermore conceived,
Through thee are risen to visit the great sun-
Before thee, Goddess, and thy coming on,
Flee stormy wind and massy cloud away,
For thee the daedal Earth bears scented flowers,
For thee waters of the unvexed deep
Smile, and the hollows of the serene sky
Glow with diffused radiance for thee!
(English translation by William Ellery Leonard from the Perseus site)
I have blended five HDR images derived from a 3-bracketing, -1.67 ev/0/+1.67 ev, generated and tonemapped with Luminance HDR 2.4.0 (Fattal, Reinhard05, Mantiuk06, Durand, and Pattanaik operators) Pattanaik contributed only to the sky; conversely, Mantiuk06 and Durand did not contribute at all to the sky, and some regions of those two images were slightly masked.

On a distant planet, a city seems to emerge in the midst of this entirely white landscape.
I just started to explore how to use light color in my photo, It's a big field of study that involve light, color and miscellanium.
technical suggestions are welcome

In photographing these architectural elements, I was drawn to the visual conversation between the contrasting forms and colors. I deliberately composed the frame to eliminate contextual references, transforming these functional structures into abstract sculptural forms. The interplay between the cool blue curve and the warm golden angles created a perfect chromatic tension I wanted to capture. By photographing in low light against a dark background, I could emphasize how light plays across the ribbed surfaces, revealing textures and patterns that might go unnoticed in broader daylight. Rather than documenting the buildings in their entirety, I wanted to isolate these fragments to celebrate the thoughtful design choices made by their architects—the way light catches each ridge, how color transforms perception of form, and the inherent rhythm created by repetitive elements. For me, this image represents the artistic potential of modern architecture when viewed through a more abstract, contemplative lens. My goal was to invite viewers to appreciate these structures not just as functional spaces but as artistic compositions existing in our urban environment.
