One of Jeffreys signature positions is resting on his chin and having his front paws tucked under him.

"Chin up, chin up / Everybody loves a happy face / Wear it, share it / It'll brighten up the darkest place / Twinkle, sparkle / Let a little sunshine in / You'll be on the right side, looking at the bright side / Up with your chinny-chin-chin!" - Charlotte A. Cavatica

Sorry, guys...I couldn't help myself! Once I titled it chin up, (because the POV looking up the tree branches) I couldn't get the song out of my head :-) Does everyone know the song, and what movie it's from?

Please view large. Have a great Tuesday, my friends!

Edited to add - the song was sung by Charlotte to cheer up a depressed Wilber in "Charlotte's Web"...I know, I'm a big kid ;)

When life deals you a little pain put your chin up and move on.

I’m a huge fan of the igotdressed.com blog which gives me a huge amount of inspiration in my journeys round the fashion maze of Second Life. I found this outfit in Volupturaptor’s post of a few days ago and immediately fell in love with it. It’s available from Epiphany as gacha items, though the event was so popular I ended up buying this particular item Marketplace because I couldn’t get in. The hair is a gorgeous new Tableau Vivant offering available now at Kustom9 – love it! Oh, and the shape is from Volupturaptor’s igotdressed Marketplace site and is the shape she uses in the post above!

Chin means consciousness in Sanskrit, Mudra means seal which is essentially an energetic and spiritual gesture that controls the flow of energy within the body.

A black-chinned hummingbird sampling the fluffy stuff of a mesquite tree

This particular black-chinned hummingbird, while delightful, was not particularly colorful. So, in a weird way, removing the drab colors actually adds something to this picture.

Mystery Day at UCSC Arboretum. Please correct any of my ID's if you think I'm wrong. Mainly I see Anna's and Allen's at this location, but on this day I never saw an Anna's with bright chin feathers. Very uncommon for me, making me think these may be Black-chinned. Fairly confident of Allen's and Rufous ID, but welcome other opinions.

It took me a long time to id this hummingbird. I originally thought it was a Costas's, but the gorget wasn't just right. I saw another black-chinned here on Flickr and that confirmed it.
