I’m a huge fan of the igotdressed.com blog which gives me a huge amount of inspiration in my journeys round the fashion maze of Second Life. Chin means consciousness in Sanskrit, Mudra means seal which is essentially an energetic and spiritual gesture that controls the flow of energy within the body.
This particular black-chinned hummingbird, while delightful, was not particularly colorful. So, in a weird way, removing the drab colors actually adds something to this picture.

Mystery Day at UCSC Arboretum. Please correct any of my ID's if you think I'm wrong. Mainly I see Anna's and Allen's at this location, but on this day I never saw an Anna's with bright chin feathers. Very uncommon for me, making me think these may be Black-chinned. Fairly confident of Allen's and Rufous ID, but welcome other opinions.

It took me a long time to id this hummingbird. I originally thought it was a Costas's, but the gorget wasn't just right. I saw another black-chinned here on Flickr and that confirmed it.
