So I finally arrived back in Virginia today after 3 months of being gone....the boys helped me move and we began by just throwing things here and there....before I could do anything, I had to try my new quilt on my bed ...please ignore the utter chaos of the bedroom -

There is an awful lot going on here-I don't think I'll even try....But it does involve an old TV and vintage Singer, and much, much more. And that's just the first part of the room....

A Sisters of Battle Exorcist inspired Word Bearers Vindicator. I feel I've recently got the hang of painting both flames and eyes, and have found that both are very much worth persevering with.

Chaos A.D. - tanks on the streets

Confronting police, bleeding the plebs

Raging crowd, burning cars

Bloodshed starts, who'll be alive?!

Chaos A.D. - army in siege

Total alarm, I'm sick of this

Inside the state war is created

No man's land, what is this shit?!

Chaos A.D. - disorder unleashed

Starting to burn, starting to lynch

Silence means death, stand on your feet

Inner fear, your worst enemy!!

REFUSE! RESIST! REFUSE! RESIST!

Detached from the Arsenal, Jake pilots the versatile Chaos, positioning the plasma bombs for release, while providing defensive fire for the Arsenal and wrecking havoc below with its Gatling blaster.

I've wanted some Spawn in my army for a while, but struggled to come up with a concept. Much as I wanted them to be mental, I also wanted them to look coherent as a unit.

Eventually I settled on a 'cerberus' concept, to tie in with the 'sin and redemption' vibe my army has going. I paid homage to a couple of my favourite computer games in the process...

The bodies are Fenrisian Wolves, which I cut open just behind the neck so I could bend them outwards. The teeth are small claws from Hormagaunt feet, and the tentacles are rolled from Green Stuff using a tube tool.

I'm quite pleased with how the sculpting turned out, particularly filling in the gaps at the necks with fur, which I was able to make almost seamless on most of the models.

The sudden influx of anglianbuses at Stand K in the bus station seems to have caused a lot of chaos at the bus station today.

Part of a series of photos of my campaign army for 2013.

Here, a shot of Saren's display base. I chose to make a display base for Saren after finding a sizeable quantity of old Cities of Death sprues. The base itself is made from ruined walls from said sprues, as well as some adornments from the Chaos Vehicle Accessories sprue, to add a little more barbarism. The stones on the base were cleverly designed to wrap around a normal 25mm round base, with a slot at the back to allow for access. This allows the model to be used with its normal base instead of the large base in game situations. It also allows any model with a 25mm base to be used on the display base. The design of the removable aspect of the base was influenced heavily by the model of the Primarch Angron, even going as far as to convert a model to be placed at the receiving end of Saren's axe...
