I have worked this shot so many times, it hurts my eyes....
Taken at very low light... long after I would usually start shooting with my wider lens , but the trip to Bosque was unplanned this year, so I didn't bring all of my gear. A little grainy because of the light, but I just like it.... The geese had already landed, and something scared them up again.. they flew directly over the flight deck, and it was just amazing!

The Utter Chaos zoas are thriving! They are so full and vibrant. Incredilbly beautiful creatures. Surpising to most, they aren't corals - they're actually invertebrates, being more closely related to jellyfish than corals.

.... So I've deleted a few contacts. It has nothing to do with the quality of the photos, its all to do with people that never comment back. They don't have to, its not the law, but they wanted to be contacts in the first place.

Our Daily Challenge: Chaos
I posted the challenge "Chaos" so I thought I better participate in it even if I was late.
A photo of my wife standing in our messy basement with the boys running circles around her. Life with a four and six year old can be total chaos.
State of unpredictability, confusion and lack of order.

"Chaos"
It is such a chaotic world, when you feel like you're being observed by anything and everything. When you feel like you have to over analyse everything before you take the next step.
It feels like every decision was so easy to make back then.
Now it's not that simple.
Well... adulthood is a chaos, so it seems.
This is not a great portrait. Once again, I left it for last minute. This really was a stressful week in so many ways. A true chaos, inside my head.
Better days will come, I'm sure.

Here's how I did it: I crumpled my trusty white blanket and took my one shot. I used no special lighting. There are two lamps in the room, a floor lamp to the left and a bed lamp to the rear and left. The shot was taken hand held on auto focus and macro setting. See SOOC below. The set-up and shoot took less than a minute. The post-processing took a bit longer! I then converted it to gray scale and adjusted the contrast. See B&W below. I resisted the temptation to crop. Finally I converted it to negative and did some more adjustment to contrast and brightness. Photo was taken with a Panasonic DMC-FZ18. Processing was done with the PHOTOfunSTUDIO software that came with the camera. Sometimes the camera information gets lost in the processing.

The two male Peregrine Falcons are way ahead of the flying curve at this stage in their development. This falcon dubbed "Early," decided to test his wings and flew beyond the "safe" zone of the square where this building stands. He was quickly guided back to his home territory by one of the adults.
Total Chaos in The Netherlands today. It is caused by one of the heaviest storms ever through out the entire country. The wind varies from windforce 9 to 11 with gusts ranging from 100 km/h to 130 km/h (60 to 80 mph).
3 People already died, Schiphol Airport has only 1 airstrip open, 5 main highways are closed and at the moment no train traffic at all is possible. Buildings collapsed underneath fallen trees and many many people are stranded at railway stations.
Dutch National TV is constantly broadcasting 'breaking news' about this emergency situation and people are advised not to go outside.
OK, I gotta do some groceries shopping now.
