Hello Earthlings! I’m Dot Starlight, coming at you from the beautiful solar space! I was made from an astronaut’s space suit! I love science and I’ve usually got my head in the clouds, but that’s ok, ‘cuz my little pet birdie loves to fly!
Back to another old project - the Lati Yellow sweater. I think I finally got the pattern right. Also took time to admire my tiny button stash while trying to remember which came from where.

Inspired by Trevira, I decided to scan my collection of buttons. These are all my presidential buttons... so it looks like I've missed a couple years in there. I was there, I guess I didn't like the buttons.
I also just saw the documentary about George McGovern, "One Bright Shining Moment" and it made me think about times when there were real heroes and brave people who believed in doing the right thing.
My current fave is "Fermez La Bush" but someone recently asked me if it was for or against Bush, so I'm a bit concerned. (It's against)
I made this vintage button ring from my yummy stash of buttons.
I blogged about it here:

My garter yoke cardi is drying upstairs, so I thought now would be a good time to show off my awesome buttons for it.
I do not care if a green cardigan with strawberry buttons is too twee. I just don't.

Busy busy busy with making new stock. I have a craft fair coming up this Sunday but luckily I got some help today. My brother was making buttons while I was sewing keychains.

These are vintage buttons that I got from an op shop (thrift shop) here in Canberra yesterday.
They are very old and are a type of Dorset button--they are worked on a ring the same as a Dorset button with buttonwhole stitch around the metal ring but then the design changes. The patterns on them are beautiful
