Uma arte que consegui amadurecer e melhorar, inspirada em uma música da banda de punkrock carioca Carbona. E a mocinha continua a viajar em suas nuvens e ideia de liberdade.

SC Strong, a non-profit program with the mission to rehab criminals and substance abusers, fully restored Quarters C on the former Charleston Navy Base. Once a home for a navy officer's family, the structure had become dilapidated from sitting vacant since the base closure in 1996. As part of their rehab program, SC Strong took on the task to restore the home to its original beauty.
An unveiling event was held the evening of October 16, 2013.

I did the illustration for a band's single originally but their record label went with another option so I am always keen to recycle and it fits nicely.
Fuck Buttons performing live in the blue spots at Blå in Oslo. Andrew Hung, to the left, and Benjamin John Power, on the right, played material from their new album, "Tarot Sport", as well as from "Street Horrrsing" (2008).

My new favourite thing to do with my new favourite toy - stamp fabric with some of my tiny stamps and turn them into fabric covered sew-on buttons!

Ahhhh, luxury in small things (isn't it the little things that count?) Soft, small scraps of cashmere make a big impact.
Last year I made these buttons from felted wool. This year's edition are from cashmere with a chiffon poufy flower and lace weight yarn. Like the previous ones, these are great as brooches or as a focal point on a sweater, cardigan or shawl. I can only get these kind of details on giant buttons, 1 7/8 inches.
Apparently, I didn't know what I was missing, I need to stalk some cashmere sweaters on sale or something!

I love it when this happens.. the buttons on old elevators slowly fill up with the oil they use to keep the metal nice and shiny.

I get weak in the knees when I see old red cross lifesaving manuals. Maybe it's because I had my nose breaking when I was taking lifesaving lessons. Anyway, I decided to turn the funky illustrations into buttons.
