Buttons tends to her kitten - although feral, Buttons was a very affectionate cat, and a very caring and conscientious mother. They lived in the gardens of the hotel we were staying at, but did not really belong to the hotel. I think one of the cleaners fed her occasionally, but mostly they were on their own.

i should save up for a macro lense. i love the textures of these buttons. some of them belonged to my grandma. inspired by viviana's gorgeous collection to take a pic of some of my faves. i wish i was a better photographer to capture them in a nicer way (=
Mother-of-pearl pretties... no project in mind, but I am sure there will be one in the future.

I joined Cindy Wimmer's Button Swap and Blog Hop and got paired up with beadmaker Sue Kennedy. And here's what she sent me: a pretty glass button she made herself, a rustic fish button, a ceramic blue flower made by Lisa Peters, and the most cute little Scottie button. I love them all!!

This is a song by Sia. She is one of my favourite artists and I have decided to use some of the titles of her songs to challenge myself each week. I am going to write a list of song titles and come up with a photo each week that best represents one song title. It can be literally or metaphorically. This is the first song caled 'Buttons'. I'm not that impressed by it but its a start...yay!

I was walking around all day looking for buttons, and I couldn't really find any. How could something so ubiquitous be so hard to find?
Then I realized that men's clothes -- that's where all the buttons were. And as I started rooting through my husband's closet I realized that there were tonnes of buttons on everything they wear: button-down dress shirts, buttons on dress pants, even cufflinks are just fancy buttons.

I make buttons to sell at local shops. :) Here are three of last year's batches - Victoriana, Flora and Fauna, and Pinup Girls! They're all made out of various ephemera, including old stamps I got from my grandmother.
